(The following RP was put in place as to not metagame, but is still canon, meaning you can come ask The Wise Old Rat IRP regarding the following.)

 

The Wise Old Rat stood in the middle of Celia'nor, listening as a rat does, to the major and minor comings and goes of everyday life. He liked to watch from the sidelines, usually, quietly observing and hearing news from all around Aevos. But, as a rat does, he wondered why so many people had so many misunderstandings, why so many different cultures were unable to relate to each other.

...perhaps, he thought, one need be educated on the cultures and everyday lives of other nations to understand them. 

But how would he do this? It was not as if everyone in Aevos wandered the realm as he did, picking up rumors and news of events that were taking place, and he most certainly couldn't force them.

But, he thought, I may be able to do all the wandering for them.

Though he was blind, The Wise Old Rat was a gifted writer. He had memorized the strokes and shapes of letters, and grew to not require sight to look over his writing - a result of many, many years of work. If he could collect all the news from all over Aevos and publish just the most important things in a single newsletter of sorts...

Then cultural understanding would grow, he realized. And perhaps there would be less conflict in this world - or, at least, people may find themselves engaged in cultures beyond their own.

Struck with inspiration, he began to furiously write - ready to publish his first newsletter! And only a few weeks later, it was ready - perhaps the biggest project of the Old Rat's life - The Aevos Newsletter.

Ok, so for people with multiple personas or affiliations with many nations, I realize it can be pretty tedious to manage a million servers, especially when you only want the big announcements from them. And even if you don't mind the system, it could always be more convenient to have an archive of sorts that collects all the major announcements from all the public discord servers.

Introducing: The LOTC Newsletter! A discord server idea I came up with that has no text or voice channels - purely a bunch of channels that follow announcements from different servers, essentially putting all the announcements that you'd possibly need to know from the discord servers of all the nations around Aevos in one place for you to peruse at your leisure!

 

NOW. I understand that for many, this may be considered metagaming. SO, if any NL would like their Nation to NOT be featured on the LOTC Newsletter, please simply respond to this post or DM me on discord (ovo.ovo.ovo.ovo). 

Furthermore, all discord servers that I am getting these announcements from are PURELY the discord servers that my persona The Wise Old Rat has access to - so servers that are closed off to the general public such as the Celia'diraar or Ak'vei discord (which I am both a part of but on a different persona) are not included. Again, that would be metagaming, and I'm a metaMANCER, not a metaGAMER. 

Even within these discords, if I have citizen access on a different persona, I delete/do not post all announcements that The Wise Old Rat would not have access to.

All this is to say, this is NOT metagaming - if I am not mistaken. I am ready to be proven wrong (as I so often do), but I hope that this discord server can be of use to you.
