The missive before you lies within a battered case that suggests it has travelled a great distance, perhaps through hostile lands or against the will of certain powers, and its golden cross emblem adds even more weight to the urgency of whatever message it hides inside.

Spoiler

Do not roleplay knowing the contents of this missive if your character has not encountered the missive itself IRP at the Holy See of Grensen.

The parchment upon which I pen these words may not hold the weight of what lies upon my heart, yet the times call–no. They yearn for clarity amidst this shadowed mire. And so it is with the authority granted me by years of devotion and worship, that I speak now of the infamous angel of blind justice: Raguel, the Righteous. Let my words and stance be without equivocation–his name alone rouses both dread and awe in those who hear it for, to some, he is nothing but a wretched impostor, while others whisper of the herald of a new dawn. But where lies the truth? Or is the truth itself merely a blade sharpened by the hand that wields it?

To his detractors, Raguel embodies deceit and misguided zealotry, and they speak in hushed tones of the calamities that follow in his wake. Few among our flock dare entertain the notion that he might be more than an usurper or a maker of false promises–that he could be a catalyst for achieving a natural order that our world has strayed far from. Fewer still place their trust in this supposed paragon of virtue and those who would are often castigated and branded as heretics for insisting that it is he who might guide us to become architects of our own bondage.

So I urge you, pious reader, do not be shackled by the unyielding chains of fear. Let the truth be hidden from you no longer; what if the brand of justice that Raguel upholds is not a mere cloak for darker impulses and hidden agendas, not bloodshed for the sake of righteousness or punishment masquerading as divine mandate, but rather the message of an emissary of a truth too pure, too harsh for mortal eyes? There is power in this uncertainty, a power that should not be shunned and instead embraced–the one constant is our faith and that Raguel is a being who treads the razor’s edge between mercy and wrath, and that cuts clean through the ambiguities of sin.

May the Light protect you,

Y.E.
