As Mahpiya scraped helplessly against the iced-over walls of his grave, some unmarked & unnamed crevasse one of many in the Ailmere, he felt his life begin to slip away into the cold numbness that gnawed on his back planted in the snow. He saw Juliya's soul overhead, ascending the vast & unfenced staircase upwards to the Seven Skies. He seemed to struggle less, knowing then with a certitude that he would have a friend to cross paths with in his soul's eventual ascent. After all, the two of them were barbarians in the same land. He winked away tears as the numbness seized him and never let go.
