And the

REPUBLIC OF SALVO

The Sister Republics

Issued on the 7th of Horen’s Calling the year of 2003

 

Article I

There shall be a lasting and inviolable peace and a sincere friendship between the Serene City of Venic. Her Ruler, her successors and subjects on the one part, and the Republic of Salvo and their people on the other; and also recognising each other’s sovereignty over their territories, titles, and vassals.

 

Article II

The subjects of the Sovereign of The Free City of Venic may at any time frequent all parts of the Republic of Salvo, reside and trade there in all sorts of produce and shall pay no greater tax than that which it shall charge its own citizens; and that also the Free City shall have a non-chargeable trading stall for all sorts of produce within a populated part of the Republic; and that also that subjects of the Free City shall have free navigation throughout the Republic, but nevertheless submitting themselves to the laws which are also expected of the citizens of the Republic.

 

Article III

The citizens of the Republic of Salvo may at any time frequent all parts of the Free City of Venic, reside and trade there in all sorts of produce and shall pay no greater tax than that which it shall charge its own citizens; and that also the Republic shall have a non-chargeable trading stall for all sorts of produce within a populated part of the Free City; and that also that citizens of the Republic shall have free navigation throughout the territory of Venic, but nevertheless submitting themselves to the laws which are also expected of the subjects of the Sovereign of Venic.

 

Article IV

Each party pledges to the other to adhere to principles of peace between each other. They shall not wage war upon one another, nor shall they raise arms against one another, or try to bring harm to the integrity of one another’s realms. This includes but is not limited to: supporting mercenaries and/or bandits in attacks against a signatory; making claims about a signatory with the intent to ruin the reputation of its culture, people, or leadership; and using the well-intentioned articles of this pact to disadvantage another signatory.

 

Article V

Each party of this Treaty shall rise to the defence of the other should they be attacked or their sovereignty imperilled by hostile action of another state; and, when called upon for that purpose, they shall assist each other to the utmost of their abilities; and also that neither the subjects of the Sovereign of the Free City of Venic nor the citizens of the Republic of Salvo will aid or give assistance to the others enemies.

Article VI

This treaty shall be indefinite, with the option to revisit as needed via summoning the signatories of either side. If something should happen during this period of time, the signatories pledge to meet first to seek a peaceful resolution before all else.
