Among the countless creatures of Aevos, some are more commonplace, blending seamlessly into the world’s landscape. But then there are those rare sights that arrest the eye—exotic, prestigious, and truly fit only for a few. Such noble creatures are seldom seen and, rarer still, are entrusted to the care of any but the most esteemed. It is often the case that these exceptional beings are misjudged for their unique qualities, mistaken for common stock, or dismissed as lacking the grace befitting the regal court.Yet, lest one be deceived by this esoteric breed, we, the scholars of the Hyspian realm, have convened to clarify and enlighten. Therefore, with the Crown’s finest scholars and a council of peer reviewers from across Aevos, we present a carefully crafted, thoroughly reviewed proclamation celebrating the rarest of them all: the Hyspian Royal Henning.

With Bones of Steel

Upon initial observation, one might note the rounded forms of these hens, leading some to rashly accuse them of being… overfed. Yet, it must be said: these hens are not of the plump sort fed for dinnertime. Rather, their exotic sturdy build stems from thick, steel-like bones—as imagined by their presence in the Hyspian court. Indeed, such a frame may be mistaken for a “fattened” (diabetic) look, yet any wise observer will see that they are, in truth, simply big-boned and majestic.

 

The Most Royal Coo

To the untrained ear, the Royal Hennings’ coos and clucks may sound peculiar—some even dare say sickly. But these sounds are anything but common! Like the noble Haeseni Parrots, these hens have adopted a refined call, honed through years of courtly grace. Legend has it that the coo of the Royal Henning resembles that of Ramona I, herself. The noble hens might indeed sound odd to the uninitiated, but this sound is not one of ailment, merely the intonations of royalty expressed through a beak.

 

It Need Not Walk

Lastly, it may be observed that Her Highness’s hens rarely partake in the plebeian act of walking. Instead, they are known to sit in serene contemplation by the throne, barely moving. But do not mistake this for laziness! When they do move, they glide with a supernatural grace, much like a swooping dove. Unlike the humble hens of the land, which merely flap from point to point, the Royal Henning glides—owing to a most unique lineage and refined breeding.
