Acts of 2007

Preface; 

In order to guarantee security and Sovereignty of these Ravenstates, it is by this body that it is decreed necessary to organize a formalized structure and formation of HIS MAJESTY’S Regular Army. Sensitive to the calls of levied smallfolk and lords. 

 

Act I.

§I-I

The Royal Army of Ravenmire shall consist of both levied Yeomen, and a standing army based out of the Royal Capital.

Each landed fiefdom and armed company within the Ravenlands shall be entitled to a levy of soldiery after oaths to and writ of Indenture by the crown. A fief may be given to a company with a new indenture by the crown.

 

§I-II Indentries Domestic;

When in regards to Indentured Levymen or contracts, domestic Companies Or lands must follow all laws or acts passed by the High Court Parliament of Ravenmire before their own Ravenstate’s laws.

 

§I-III Indentries Foreign;

When in regards to Foreign Indentured Levymen or contracted Companies they exist outside the law and the specifics of the writ and terms therein shall be discussed with His Majesty. Or his Parliament

 

§I-IV Ranks;

The Ranking of the Royal Regulars

and All levies apart from the Captain General who shall be used in the regular army being replaced with Marshal in all other instances. unless exemption detailed in contract shall consist of the following

 

• Captain General

Shall serve as the Lord Marshal to the crown and will be in charge of commanding His Majesty's regiments instead of the Crown, they are the highest ranking position in which all other Captains and Marshals shall report to.

• Captain

Shall serve as an intermediate chain of command should the ranks of the Regulars grow too large. Deviating command at every 20 recruit intervals to a new Captain who shall serve below their Marshal or Captain General.

• Warrant

Veteran soldier of at least 20 years who has been dedicated honors

• Man-at-arms

Veteran soldier of at least 15 years.

• Footmen

A recruited soldiery who has proved themselves in battle or stayed in the army for 5 years

• Recruit

A smallfolk freshly levied/recruited for military use

 

§I-V The Structure 

The Royal Army of Ravenmire shall be broken up into Companies; each Company shall be led by a Captain, and will have a mix of other subordinates of various ranks under the Captain. If two companies are in the same fief they shall operate individually according to their indentry contract.

 

§I-V Picking of Captain General

The rank of Captain General shall be picked personally by the crown, with recommendations by the previous Captain General and all the Captains in the Royal Army of Ravenmire.
