Explanation

She had come up to my character who is a Naztherak and gotten upset with her for not taking her gloves off. My character freaked out at the time because I was new to the Naz MA and wasn't fully aware of the redline that prevents people from metagaming naz brands. I then DMed her to try and let her know once my friend had been kind enough to tell me, to which during the conversation she basically said "my character has a lot of experience with Naztherak, so she should be able to know". I tried to trust her on the situation, though that did not work out as the metagamed information was then spread around.

I did try to talk to her and sent her the redline, but was told that "she has a plan!" and "to do what my character would do" and then also that her character should be able to know because she has experience with Naztherak, even if the redlines state that is metagaming.

 

Desired Result of Report

I've been told several other Naztheraks have had the same exact issue with this player, so I do seek something be done. However, I am not sure how severe this is as I did not put my foot as firmly down as I could have. I am trusting the mods to hand out the proper results regarding this.

Oh man here we go again

 

It seems a little silly to pretend like warlocks don't exist until one is actively using malflame, especially when it is a cursed child. You know.. horns, tail, demonic influence?

 

I explained what was going on to Gomi in the screenshots provided. This interaction was the second time in which these characters interacted within a place where wearing gloves was seen as odd for cursed children, the first where a private conversation was actually possible. An ‘investigation’ was prompted after Gomi’s character began to act suspicious. The brand was never actually seen; the suspicion came completely from this character acting strangely. With enough fishing, prodding, and poking, however, they ended up admitting to it.

 

In reference to the  ‘she has a plan!’: What Gomi did not include in this report is how, after the admittance, they were let off with IC tasks based off of what had occurred. They were to do X and Y, and it was intended to become a fun little mission for them, given that their character was still a child (ambiguously between 13 and 16).

 

 

I thought it was a little weird to be playing a 13-16 year old Naztherak just because it was offered at the time. As for 'Do what your character would do': Gomi was making it abundantly clear that they were a lot less focused on portraying Ezau and more fixated on getting the best outcome possible. I get it, but c'mon. I'm just here to roleplay.

 

Playing as something evil always comes with the risk of getting found out, and protecting yourself with  ‘I don’t know what I’m doing and if any negative consequences come from our interaction, I’m going to take things OOC’ is kind of scummy. This guy has been on the server even longer than I have, and clearly they've only started having issues, coincidentally, nearly a month after it all happened when 'several other Naztheraks' decided they, too, had an issue. Before this report was made, we actually ended on a positive note.

Anyway, this was the last time that I interacted with this player directly in any context related to this little plot, and I took a step back. I did keep a mind to not try and ruin their fun with it, mainly by engaging less than I typically would. Other characters also knew that Ezau was a Naz by Ezau’s own admission, who my character spoke with about it. Others found out from this, and at this point, I disengaged and chose not to ICly make any decisions around this character. Not my choice, not my engagement, not my problem.

you told me "do what your character would do" during our rp, and at the time when the whole naz thing happened i did what she would've done in the situation. why is that not okay when its a different rp? i was told it was okay for her to age up so i did, because the roleplay was interesting, not because "i want the best possible outcome". and as said in that screenshot, i wanted to still have her be a teenager for awhile longer so i've kept her as 16 for awhile. she acts like a 16 year old, she isn't a "13 year old" naztherak like you are claiming.

this is not what happened. i was expecting good roleplay from this, and at first, it was genuinely really interesting. this also does not change the fact that you were using her brands as a mean to determine her to be a naztherak. we had left off on a note that offered really interesting RP, and then all of the sudden you went from telling her to "be a spy" to then telling her sister "you must kill her or find a way to disconnect her" to then just deciding to kick her and her sister out of Jun-Lei all within about a week. i had expected positive RP from this, and in the screenshot you had shown, at the time it was. this mission that you had given my character was immediately broken off, and you started telling people she knew she was a naztherak. you claim that it was only other people who already knew she was a naz, but her adoptive mother Willow did not know she was a naztherak, and yet you told her.

also want to add onto this, as soon as you decided to randomly switch up, i was upset. it wasn't until some friends helped and that others told me they have had like the exact same issues that i decided to make this report. i had originally wanted it to be private as i didn't want things to be so public (ideally i wish it could've just been you, me, and a mod to talk things out rather than for the whole world to see), but i was asked to make it public.
