The votes have been counted, the election draws to a close. As seen fitting by the people I have been elected as the Grand Maer of New Valdev.  In this post, I wish to elaborate on my vision for fulfilling the campaign promises that I have carried throughout my campaign, particularly the initiatives aimed at my management of the Tipsy Tarcher Tavern and the establishment of public forums. 

 

 

A Grand Maer’s Promises

★ PUBLIC FORUMS

 

We shall be re-introducing Public forums that will be open to all citizens of Haense, providing a platform for individuals to voice their concerns, ideas, and proposals. The goal is to ensure that every citizen's voice is acknowledged and considered. Additionally, we will invite nobles, city officials, and guild leaders to engage directly with the community, thereby bridging the gap between governance and the populace. This initiative will create a dedicated space for citizens to freely express their thoughts and concerns, fostering a better dialogue with their representatives.
 

★ TAVERN NIGHTS

 

To kick off my tavern initiatives, which I began just before the election, I will continue to host tavern nights. These events will be organized officially at least once a saints week, corresponding with the saints' calendar. Additionally, we will hold unofficial gatherings on most saints' days when the tavern is busy enough.

 

Each tavern night will feature various activities, from smaller events to larger celebrations, building on the success of initiatives like the talent show and drinking contests. The aim is to create a warm and inviting atmosphere where citizens can come together, enjoy good company, and have fun.

 

★ A SUMMARY  ★

 

With this all in mind, the following order of affairs within the tavern shall be simple, Every other Saints week upon the week a duma is not held we shall officially host a Public forum alongside the aforementioned planned tavern night. Within the weeks where a duma is to be held an official tavern night shall be held in its stead often with another tavern-themed event be it a drinking contest, an exhibition or all matter of events. With this, the first public forum shall be held on the following date and time.
