This is my forum post to self-teach the Seer feat to my musin persona, The Old Rat. Please don't metagame as this is not public knowledge!

"I need to see."

Power. For a blind, old musin, such a thing would only ever feel hopelessly out of reach. He'd tried everything; the streets of Koyo-Kuni, looking for guidance from the Almighty Shugo, but there he was only ridiculed and almost killed. The Adventurer's Club of Celia'nor, but the musin there were simply too drastically different from him. And finally, he'd gotten his hands on voidal magic in the form of enchantments - but he'd lost all his enchanted items in his greed. He'd been hopelessly chasing after power from the Void, but in his pursuit of magic had achieved nothing but banishment.

And he realized, as he lay his head beneath a tree, that he needed sight. If only he could see the world like other could, then he could achieve so much more.

Thoughts raged in his mind as he lay himself down to sleep.

He had just returned from his visit to Lumbridge, so it was no surprise it appeared in his dream. Of course, he was blind, so he could not see Lumbridge; but he could feel the ominous energy on his skin, the mist that covered Lumbridge, the snow at his feet and the stone that surrounded the cursed city. He sniffed in the air; it was most certainly Lumbridge, seat of Xion. He could feel it.

The rat stepped up to the gates, which, to his surprise, were open. He stepped over the threshold into the city, until an invisible force stopped him in his tracks.

What? He thought. He had sensed no creature come in front of him to shove him and block his path, no footsteps heard, no scent recognized. The thing that suddenly chained his feet was an invisible force.

And then, suddenly, he was overwhelmed by a powerful presence. He was unsure as to what it was, but it was something - a power, the power that he surely knew by now, the power that he knew, in that moment, would grant him his wish.

The power of Xion.

The Old Rat's smile widened as he outstretched his small arms to embrace the presence. A voice began to whisper, a whisper so loud it was deafening. "Come forth, Rat," it spoke. "Accept the power that I gift to you."

"Open your eyes."

"Oh, how I knew when I came," the rat spoke, stepping forward, the invisible chains at his feet now gone. "How I knew the power the seat of Xion would give."

And then, the presence would become stronger and stronger, until it was nigh painful; and in his dream, the Old Rat could see Lumbridge instead of feeling it, for the first time; and he gasped in shock as he awoke from his dream in a cold sweat beneath the tree he had laid down to rest in.
