I, Lord Cardan Matteo van Leuven, speak on behalf of House van Leuven and apologize to Lady Isabel Victoriya Ruthern. I, and by extension my house, hold the Ruthern lineage in the highest esteem, and any slight, intentional or otherwise, is wholly uncharacteristic of our intentions.

I deeply apologize for the way my words were received. It was never my intention for them to come across as hurtful or upsetting. What I said came from a place of genuine confusion, but I know now that they were poorly chosen and poorly timed. I understand how they may have affected you, and I sincerely regret any discomfort they caused.

Please, hold any concerns or frustrations with me alone, as my household bears no responsibility for my missteps. They were not involved in my poor judgment, and I would never wish for them to be associated with any misunderstandings that arose from my actions. It is my responsibility, and mine alone, to make amends.
