King_Kunuk 3025 Share Posted March 17, 2025 Azdrazi Corruption (real Amendment) This amendment aims to make azdrazi corruption more interactive with necromancy. Currently only maledictions can corrupt azdrazi; but there is no mention about what rituals, being in close proximity to necro rifts, or in blighted land will do. This amendment aims to expand this outwards. From Spoiler Necromancy Maledictions - Darkening will corrupt 1 unit per 2 emotes that it is sustained. - Cauterization will corrupt 1 unit per 2 emotes that it is sustained. - Bursting’s tainted gore will corrupt 1 unit if it makes contact. - All Pestilence plagues will corrupt 2 units for their duration, but will never last beyond 2 OOC weeks unless they OOCly wish to. Too Spoiler Necromancy Corruption Maledictions: Darkening will corrupt 1 unit per 2 emotes that it is sustained. Cauterization will corrupt 1 unit per 2 emotes that it is sustained. Bursting’s tainted gore will corrupt 2 unit if it makes contact or inhaled, and the sickness it causes sets in immediately. Pestilences -All Pestilence plagues will corrupt 2 units for their duration with the specific plague setting in instantly, but will never last beyond 3 OOC days unless they OOCly wish to. Pale Curses: -Being subjected to a lesser curse corrupts 1 unit. -Being subjected to a Greater Curse corrupts 3 units for it's duration or until it is removed. -Holding onto a Black trinket slowly corrupts 3 units over 3 OOC days. NOTE: Pale curses may be ended early if a nephlim undergoes their flame cleansing as a magical means of purging them rather then through other magical means of cleansing curses. Thaumaturgy -Being subjected to the Rite of Draining corrupts 2 units -Standing within land tainted by the Rite of Malidiction corrupts 1 units that cannot be cleansed until they leave the tainted land, additionally instantly becoming the victim of the plague within the land. If they stay within the land for [10] emotes or 1 narrative hour, the 1 unit stays corrupted even after leaving as well as the plague, and increases to two units (see pestilence for details on how long these corrupted units lasts for). -being within the radius of a Heith Hedran's tainted land corrupts [1] units until they leave the blighted land. -Being subjected as the target for the Sacrament of Usurer or Sacrament of Thaumaturgy instantly corrupts all of the Nephlim's dragonflame units, and the OOC choice of being turned into a draconic Undead for an event resource. -Black alchemy Due to it's aggressive nature to replicate pure blight, Abyssal Blight Potion corrupts 2 rather then 0.5 as seen with regular black alchemy potions Footnotes: Spoiler Rite of Draining is the ritual which produces liquid life force Sacraments to create undead have been made to mirror the naztherak version of those rituals to make demons Greater Curses are applied through none combative rituals Due to the more combative nature of abyssal blight and how it induces a necromantic plague, I deemed it fit to create more corruption then a regular black alchemy brew.

I'm really not a fan of 'enter this area, get corruption' 'enter a spook lair and you're guaranteed to get x units of corruption, just cus of showing up there' is not fun. Feels like there's very little counter play to this, or ways to protect yourself against this if you're going to do what Azdrazi typically do (fight spooks, raid necromancer/mystic lairs, go to events against undead, etc).
