Wayfarer's Writ: 225SA

The following information is reported as accurate as of the 14th of the Deep Cold, Year 225SA. As the war continues onwards, prices appear to fluctuate drastically. War resources such as Copper and Leather find themselves at the forefront of what's primarily desired by merchants and kingdoms alike. Rare metals such as Starsteel and Blightsteel have purportedly begun a downward trend as individuals have less excess minas, as taxes are cranked up to fund the war efforts. It is advised not to trade said metals until the economy has had time to repair itself after the wartime efforts have concluded; or, unless you represent a kingdom that intends to trade said rare items for vast quantities of wartime resources.

In order to assist the general public and merchants across the continent, we have created a summary of averages of goods across Aevos. These are being updated on the daily, to help provide a rough understanding or guide on the varying prices. Once the war has ended, these prices shall be wiped and reassessed in order to provide an adequate overview once more.

The Grand Comparison

Profits

This elven week the merchant hub of the Heavensward has made a net profit of four hundred minas. With the conclusion of the upcoming auction sales, we estimate that there shall be at least a six thousand minas profit (6k Minas) by 227SA. We are currently searching for business partners in kingdoms and organizations that are willing to buy or sell vast quantities of resources or rare materials and metals for negotiable prices. In addition a portion of our proceeds is being set aside for charity work. If you have a valid cause, charity or project that you have need of assistance with or a desire for cooperation then please reach out to us via responding to this report.

Shares

Re-implementing our legacy shareholders, those who have previously supported our settlement and continue to do so shall be paid dividends equivalent to 20% of our quadrennial profits. In the instance that six thousand minas are made, 1200 Minas shall be paid out in dividends; with a further ten percent being paid to our employees. The dividends paid out are dependent on the percentage of shares owned by each member in our collective pool; essentially as one might expect, more shares equals a higher payout per quadrennium.

Wartime Insight

With the first battle amongst presumably many, between the Church and the men and women of the Church being won by the aforementioned Church, in addition to the constant raids on Hyspia, Haense and Celia'nor, the rumblings of surrender from those allies less involved with the war on Haense's side have begun to surface, presumably and understandably in order to avoid reaping the consequences of Haense's actions and subsequently being wiped out. An action that for now may actually work to their advantage, remaining within the realm of possibility.

Hyspia unfortunately lost a valued member of its community earlier this week when the young soldier was captured within their armaments and armed at their city gates. On taking the individual back to the Horde territory, they sent forth a letter for Hyspia to come and reclaim her with just their own warriors present. Unfortunately, Hyspia did not heed the words they were sent, resulting in them arriving to the Horde capital with the accompanying armies of their allies. The hostage was executed as one would expect as a result, without hesitation. Another lost in the continuation of the blood feud between Uruk and Hyspian; a life that in this instance at least seems as though it could have been saved.

Whilst it is impossible to say what shall happen, it has to be stated that the roads remain unsafe for the majority of the public, and we advise that those who musn't absolutely travel remain within the walls of their homes. The Heavensward remains a neutral place of trade and respite; for those who are willing or required to brave the roads regardless, allowing members of any nation or affiliation to take temporary respite or sell their wares free of charge. Shops and homes remain rent-free despite this fluctuating economy, and refugees are welcomed with open arms.
