A Brewing Storm

It started off as a warm summers day.

The radiant light of the sun that sat high above the Silver City cast its illuminating gaze upon the Blessed Elves of Haelunor, the peace and quiet of this mountaintop city allowing the Citizenry to gaze out upon the land and seas around them and bask in its beauty. Although such beauty was tarnished as Aevos was currently ravaged by a continent wide war and it was the people of each nation that would pay the price.

For the brave and less fortunate however, in conflict, there was opportunity.

To the west a large storm had been spotted, the black clouds and torrential downpour of the stormfront a stark contrast to the vibrant day the Silver City was experiencing. The occasional crack of thunder could be heard distant, though those perceptive enough would seen catch sight and sounds of the retort and reply of rolling broadsides amidst the storm. Ships engaged in what appeared to be a pitched battle amidst the storm.

From the Silver City and unable to act, they could only watch on as what appeared to be the prey of some large fleet was sundered in two by cannon fire. Its hull splitting apart and sinking into the murky depths with its cargo and crew lost to the seas.



With the sound of battle fading, a new realization would dawn upon those who had witnessed this. The storm was coming their way and whatever was lurking within would soon be upon them..
