SIXTEEN YEARS AGO, THE CROWN of Balian was blessed with its first and only daughter, AMADEA CASIMIRA TARA. Despite her adolescence being tainted with the cruelty of war, she has blossomed into an incredible young woman full of kindness, joy, and intelligence. Due to the tumultuous plague of war that has consumed Aevos, Her Highness has made the decision to present herself to society two years early.

 

TO CELEBRATE HER COMING OF age, the Kingdom of Balian sees fit to properly invest Amadea Casimira as the Princess-Royal of Balian and the Countess of Rosemoor, and invites all friends and allies to witness the momentous occasion and celebrate the Princess’s growth.

I. THE INVESTITURE OF ROSEMOOR

The instatement of the Princess Royal.

THE DAY’S FESTIVITIES WILL BEGIN within the main hall of the Palatio Arcione, with a prayer by BISHOP IVAN. Those gathered will come together in prayer for those fallen in the war, and the safety of those who have survived the battle thus far.

 

AFTER THE CONCLUSION OF THE sermon, the investiture will formally begin. There, Princess Amadea will be formally recognized by her family and the people of Balian as the Princess Royal and Countess of Rosemoor. Three individuals, chosen by the Princess Amadea, will speak in attestment to her character and worthiness of the weight of her titles.

 

THEREAFTER, THE PRINCESS AMADEA WILL be bestowed three items, each one representing a different Balianese tradition, and each one earned by the testaments given by the three witnesses of character. The first will be the Regal de Protecció, a dagger traditionally given to an adult upon their eighteenth birthday and meant to symbolize dedication to one’s family while also providing a means of protection for the one bestowed the blade. The second item, also a traditional coming of age gift, will be the Votive Sash; sewn with the Royal colors of House Novellen and embellished with embroidery and pins reflective of the Princess Amadea’s life experiences and personality. The last item, less traditional but nonetheless significant, will be the Tiara of Rosemoor. This piece has historically been reserved solely for the Princess Royals of Balian and represents their dedication to serving their people, and will be personally bestowed upon the Princess Amadea by her father.

II. A CELEBRATORY DANCE 

A festive night of revelry.

TO CONCLUDE THE EVENING, ALL people of Balian and her allies are invited to join the newly invested Princess Royal in the ballroom of the Palatio Arcione for a grand night of feast and dance. As Princess Amadea was named for the Patron Saint of flowers, guests are encouraged to dress in floral attire, and to keep the botanical theme in mind when bestowing gifts upon Her Royal Highness.

 

ANY FRIENDS WHO MAY WISH to dance with the Princess Amadea must first ask the blessing of her parents, KING JOHN II and QUEEN KATHRYN OF RHEN. If given permission by Their Royal Majesties, they may then ask the Princess herself for a dance. It should be noted, however, that since Her Highness has not yet reached the age of eighteen, young men may not ask for her nor her parents’ permission to court the Princess yet.
