What circumstances led to this ban?

 

I honestly don't even remember all of it, it was something to do with a player named Sean when he was the Orc NL. One disagreement led to another and I got quite heated, said some things I would later regret and got banned for 3 months after being accused of trolling. All I can remember is calling Sean a sociopath and warning everyone OOC'ly that he and the orc leadership were toxic, predatory, etc.

Given that the orcs seem to be under new leadership and may have fragmented (again) I can say that some of my feelings were likely vindicated but poorly expressed. At the time of the ban, I hadn't even really been speaking to them and had been banned from all of their discords without warning before that. That upset me greatly since I had literally built most of their nation only to end up being stabbed in the back like that, that's what led to a lot of the accusations I made.

 

Are there aspects of the ban you agree and/or disagree with?

 

I can't say I agree or disagree.

The only thing I feel is that the ban was sudden and without warning. There hadn't seemed to have been any attempt to de-escalate or communicate with me on any level that I was doing anything wrong. To my understanding, someone reported me for things I said and weeks later I'm banned for "hostile trolling" without any attempt to cease and desist me.

Had I been told to simply cease talking about X or Y or face a ban, I would have done so. I'm not unreasonable, a simple conversation was all that was needed.

 

What motivates you to return to LOTC?

 

I just want to build and roleplay. Maybe start a group of my own or join an existing group if possible, I'm an "outcast" and just don't really seem to ever fit into any particular group on the server.
