Despite her ladyship’s illness and distress during pregnancy, both she and the child have survived, and are currently recovering. Despite having one poor leg- similar to her mother at birth- a seeming blindness in her right eye, and a stripe of white hair, the young Katerina has proven lively, bouncing back quickly from the harshness of childbirth. With her deep brown curls and father’s eyes, the gem of Rethel has shown strength beyond her age, despite her physical disabilities.

 

ONCE HER LADYSHIP AND THE CHILD HAVE FULLY RECOVERED, A private baptism will be held in the chapel of Rethel for close friends and family alike to celebrate the birth and life of the grand heir, and the survival of the heiress.
