A TREATISE ON THE CURRENT PONTIFICATE AND ITS FAILINGS

As I write this, I must preface that the current pontificate under Harrentzedek has lasted for near about fifty years and it has thus rooted itself in mankind for about two generations. With no end in sight, an acceptance of the status quo is to accept even further degradation which may take lifetimes to correct. This is not something that we only owe to God, but this is something we owe to others who may find themselves inclined towards the furthest reaches of the Void due to the failings of the current pontificate in representing His virtue and mercy.

They have simply failed in their objective to accommodate the spiritual needs of the faithful and in doing so they have divided the faithful who look inwards towards their own sects. By pandering to and working alongside temporal powers in worldly affairs, it has shifted itself into a position of partiality. Regardless of whether these temporal powers are just or unjust, it has failed in its ability to be an impartial arbiter. The Church's integrity as an institution comes from its resolve in preserving His word and furthering His virtue against its adversaries. Tarnishing their integrity by involving themselves in worldly affairs outside of its divine mission has ruined its ability to unite the faithful. His Virtue is everlasting, but if His servants on earth obfuscate the holy wisdom through their worldly tampering it will turn away those who will come to see His virtue as cruel and violent as they would in the times of Godfrey’s conquests. Virtue transcends worldly borders. It transcends race and blood. It transcends station, and it does not beholden itself to any particular sect that we divide ourselves into. As God breathed life into each and every one of us, so too are we all entitled to be able to receive His word and sacraments invoked in His name.

The perpetual and unlawful suspension of Canon Law has proven detrimental to the cohesion of the Church. Not only has it caused misunderstandings of great proportions, but this suspension of the law has allowed those appointed to lead our Church to perform actions that are sacrilegious, desecrate the foundations of our faith, and make vicious mockery of God. The priesthood have known a sense of Canon Law as early as the time of Exalted Godfrey where archives document the phrase frequently and even applied to ecclesiastical contexts. To do away with Canon Law is to do away with a major element of the Church that promotes and exercises orderly discipline in the divine ministry for both the priesthood and greater faithful alike. It safeguards virtue and traditions, it promotes and defines virtuous practices and sacraments, and it applies checks and balances so very required in the dealings of our mortal fallibility. The suspension of Canon Law, done outside the legal bounds of the law itself, has brought very disorder that it was created to solve. Despite decades of suspension, no substitutes have been proposed by the pontificate to restore order.

It should go without saying but the burning of the sacred throne St. Daniel which has stood as a traditional symbol of the Church's worldly authority for centuries was complete desecration of a holy artifact and therefore sacrilege. Never once has it been opined by a cleric who takes their vocation seriously that the throne is a target of worship by any sect. It is a ludicrous claim. The value in the throne is the historical precedent of St. Daniel being a church doctor, compiler of the Holy Scrolls for common use, and being the father of the Church of the Canon as we know it. He was canonized with due process under the Synod of the time with unanimous agreement and it was publicly proclaimed in the First Golden Bull of Johannesburg by Sixtus IV in 1573. The excuse by Lucienists that he was supportive of caesaropapacy to dismiss his vast contributions is foolish. He was a theologian of an era under strife and schism. It was not unreasonable for him to support this. Should we reject St. Lucien's contributions to the Church and legitimate miracles following his demise because of his membership of the Order of the White Rose which was indirectly rebuked by God through Godfrey for associating fear with the faith? No, I would think not. On the topic of saints directly, St. Lucien too acknowledged the importance of saints as he established the Order of St. Amyas and sought to reclaim the lost relics of St. Lothar. The modern Lucienist viewpoint to reject saints and their relics would in itself be a rejection of Lucien's theology and Lucien himself for he too was sainted and had his own relics such as the esteemed Kaedreni Cross. The truth is in fact that those who are justifying their sacrilege in contradiction to what is true are servants of their own corrupt whims and may speak to a greater possibility that they have possibly even become servants of Iblees whether they realise it or not. I do not think, and I compel my fellow faithful to think the same, that Emperor Tiberias himself is guilty of sacrilege. He is certainly an accomplice, that is clear, but an unwitting one for it was the current pontificate who gave him the throne and encouraged him to burn the throne amidst his coronation. In fact, in doing so I believe that the High Pontiff wished to distance himself from the act so that all possible blame could fall onto the Emperor himself for its burning. A deceitful display, no less. No harm or consequence should fall to the Emperor for that is the Lord's divine mercy, but Harrentzedek and those others of the cloth directly involved should be recognized as the sacrilegious sinners that they are.

It is the duty and obligation of every cleric who considers themselves in communion with the Lord and His virtue to make nonviolent efforts to remove Harrentzedek and his supporters from their offices until they resign of their own accord. If they continue to hold their offices, they will undoubtedly perverse our faith further. However, we must not resort to violence lest it be in self-defence. We must not spoil the efforts to return the Church to normalcy by perversing our institution further with reactive violence. For He tells us in Virtue 5:9-10: “So I am the Most High, and in pursuit of My Virtue, I bid My faithful this: You shall not raise a hand in wrath, nor in envy, nor in any kind of sin. I am the Lord GOD without peer, and My trials are the holy trials, and My cure is the virtuous cure, and all the reliefs of the Virtue are open to the righteous forbearer.” We must ensure that as we follow this disciplined path of unity that we do it with grace and in accordance with His virtue despite the anger that this perversion may inspire within us. Keep the faith and remain steadfast in the Lord. I leave below yet another set of verses that we should keep dear to us as we overcome these tribulations.

I am the Lord GOD without peer. I separated the world from the Void and placed the lesser and greater lights into the sky, and breathed life into all the beasts of the earth. And I have also breathed life into your heart, and the hearts of your children. And I have given you life: I am your father, and the father of all things. 7 And so I shall guide you in a theater of virtue, and the virtuous shall not live except by My Word. So I am the Most High, and in pursuit of My Virtue, I bid My faithful this: You shall not blaspheme My Word, nor any thing that is holy. I am the Lord GOD without peer, and My Word is the holy word, and My path is the virtuous path, and all the blessings of the Virtue shall fall before the righteous who tread it.

Virtue 1:3-9

"I tried to warn them," Sighed a heretical voidstalker to her heretical partner. "Don't you remember Callahan back in Oren? He was a terrible person then, and an even worse one now." With a shrug, she continued. "At least they're able to see all that's gone wrong now. Better late than never to try to save humanity."

"...Though, I do wonder how they'll be able to remove all his corruption, given his cult following and long, unexplained absences."
