I have a brief report. This morning, I witnessed the dwarf Thràin breaking into Kato’s house to steal. He is a one-eyed dwarf whose left side of the face has a scar. When I appeared, he pretended nothing was amiss. Once confronted, he offered as an excuse that he wanted to deliver letters to the Shugo, meaning he intended to find her residence and break into it, foolishly believing the Kato manor was her home. Mikaze and I removed only his pinky and stabbed him with plague metal, but left him alive. I should note that the Kato residence and the retainer quarters have suffered numerous thefts in the past; I suspect this dwarf’s involvement since the deed was also committed when everyone was asleep. P.S. He is the same dwarf who previously insulted the Shugo and gambled with her, and lost his beard in the process.
