Preface

The Auric Mandate is an expansive treatise amongst The Dialectics, the tomes that shall seek to bring forth the Gnosis, the Holy Truth, by means of the discussion upon and revealing of the underlying principle that shapes reality, the Logos, as the very semiotic mean through which we may grasp the World, become enlightened, and so thusly return unto The Solitary God. Our work is eternal; for the Logos is without beginning or end.

There are, within the World, certain materials whose nature reflects not the will of mortal hands, nor the natural eminence of Creation to which they are beholden, but the ever-shifting disposition of that which is above all things; the preternatural Formless, the Aenguldaemonic. Of these, Aurum is foremost: a metal whose edge falls against not merely all that which is antithetical to the physical aspect of Creation, but too unto that which the higher powers deem estranged, anathematous, from the order of return.

Hitherto, the properties of the metal in relation to the anathematic were unchanging, yet recent truths have shown that even that which was once untouched by it has now come beneath its sentence. This is no small alteration in the pattern of things, and from it we may deduce much pertaining to the architecture of reality, the nature of the Logos, and the absence of mortal freedom, a consequence of our design.

Proposition I: The Divine Schema

All things are splinters of the One, and their properties are contingent upon the One’s self-ordering.

Proof.

From the doctrine of the Solitary God, the indivisible Whole, it thus follows that nothing exists outside of It. All beings, whether they are physical or spiritual, are emanations of the same substance, differing solely in the veils of expression. The disposition of these veils is the self-ordering of the One, the Absolute. If the One’s disposition toward any fragment changes, the nature of that fragment changes in turn. In this way, no property of any being is fixed except by the present arrangement of the will of the One.

Corollary.

There is no autonomous nature in any aspect of Creation. All essence is relational to the Whole

Proposition II: Arrangement of Creation

Aurum, as a material, mirrors the current ordering of the Whole toward all beings.

Proof.

Aurum’s harm is not in that of physicality, but in that of a property that corresponds exactly to the present classification of the higher powers of the Formless. If a being is counted estranged and deemed abominable from the returning order to the One, it will cut them with peculiar efficacy. If it is counted among the returning, it will cut no more easily than common steel. Resultantly, Aurum is not a fixed weapon, but a theometric instrument, indicating in matter of the judgement of the divine order.

Corollary.

The mutable property of Aurum, therefore, is material testimony that the laws of the World are contingent upon higher perception.

Proposition III: The Mutable Abomination

The reclassification of certain continuities unveils that “abomination” is not an intrinsic essence, but conversely, a mutable relation.

Proof.

There exist certain little-known means of subversion of the natural order of present Creation, whereby one may defer the dissolution of physical form. These continuities once stood outside the scope of the Auric Mandate, and so were thought beyond its censure; and yet, in the present age, the Formless have counted them amongst those estranged from the order of return, as abominable, and thenceforth Aurum’s edge now cuts them as readily as it does the long-deemed abominable. Yet still, their substance is unchanged; only their classification has altered. Therefore, the mark of abomination lies not in fixed composition, but conversely in the mutable stance of the Whole toward the fragment of the One.

Corollary.

The measure of rightness or estrangement is no property of the thing itself, but of its position in the divine ordering at that present hour.

Proposition IV: Absence of Freedom

The mutable law reveals the absence of mortal freedom.

Proof.

If the standing of a fragment, a singular being, before the Whole may be altered without change to its own essence, then its destiny is not bound to its will, but, therefore, to the will of the Whole. No mortal action may secure or prevent such reclassification, for the change occurs in the divine ordering itself, beyond the reach of the splinter’s striving. Ergo, mortal freedom is an appearance only, and the path of each splinter is determined by the shifting self-perception of the One.

Corollary.

Resistance to divine ordering is itself encompassed by that ordering, as is the wave’s rebellion encompassed by the tide itself.

Inferences

Aurum is not so much a weapon as a mirror of the present face of the One toward Its dispersed self. The fact of the mirror’s image changing is proof therefore that the World is not governed by immutable natural law, but by the mutable perception of the divine toward its own emanations. This perception is itself a necessity, for the One cannot be other than It is in the moment of Its remembering and forgetting.

Therefore, all things move as the Whole moves; all will is the Whole’s will, and all law is contingent upon the One’s current dream. If the law that strikes today spares tomorrow, or spares today and strikes tomorrow, it represents only the turning of the One’s own gaze. No man may stand outside it.

Proposition V: Dualistic Transformation

The ordering of the Whole shifts as It moves between the Mandate and the Eschaton.

Proof.

From the doctrine of the Two Schools, all return to the Whole proceeds thusly in two movements:

  • The Mandate: the passage of sunderance and knowing, wherein one destroys the veils and undoes the falsities.
  • The Eschaton: the passage of descent and vanishment, wherein all distinctions dissolve into the silence of the One.

These movements are dualistic; they are the faces of the same flame. As the Whole changes its gaze through these movements, the arrangement of Its emanations consequently changes. Toleration beneath the veil of the Mandate may too be dissolved beneath the silence of the Eschaton, and conversely so.

In this way, the ordering of the Whole toward any being is contingent upon the current phase of Its return to Itself.

Corollary.

The Auric Mandate is not static precisely because it is the shadow cast by the current movement of the Whole.

Proposition VI: The Mirrored Shapes

Reclassification occurs when a being no longer serves the movement of the Whole in Its present phase.

Proof.

The purpose of all emanations is the return of the Many into the One. In the phase of the Mandate, the Whole may preserve certain estrangements, abominations, if they serve as instruments to expose greater veils; and yet, in the phase of the Eschaton, the Whole seeks the quieting of all estrangements and abominations, removing that which clings to form and delays return.

The continuities borne of the subversion of the natural order of present Creation, in preserving themselves against the dissolution of the physical form, may in one phase be tolerated as mirrors to expose the folly of permanence; and yet, in another, they may be counted as obstacles to the final unity within the One, through the Silence.

Resultantly, their reclassification is not arbitrary, but theretoo the result of a shift in the movement of the Whole toward completion.

Corollary.

Every being’s standing is conditional upon its utility to that current motion of return to the One.

Proposition VII: Postmortal Movement

The mortal cannot anticipate the moment of reclassification.

Proof.

The movement of the Whole is vast beyond mortal measure. Its phases are not bound to mortal calendars, nor too to the patterns of flesh and bone, dirt and stone. Conversely, the mortal may only see the current arrangement and, ignorantly so, supposes it eternal, yet the Whole may turn in an hour unseen to them, and the arrangement may thusly be altered. Therefore, the mortal cannot predict the day when that which is spared will be struck, nor when that which is struck will be spared.

Corollary.

Security in mortal standing is a falsehood; only the return to the One is beyond reclassification.

Inferences

The mutable nature of the Auric Mandate may appear to be entropic, but, in actuality, is that of the highest order. It is the alignment of the Whole’s emanations with Its current movement toward Itself, the Return to One. The continuities now numbered among the abominable, the estranged, are condemned not merely for their nature, but their refusal to yield to the present current

All fragments shall be counted worthy or unworthy; this, whilst known, is done through the correspondence to the phase of the Whole, not to their own striving and worldly morality. This is the Gnosis - the measure of all things is the motion of the One, and measure is unceasing, and that all law; moral, natural, or divine, is a ripple that may shift with It therein, as the wave to the tide.

Resisting this motion, consequently, is the cause of damnation. In aligning with It, we are borne along, yet both resistance and yielding too are themselves the motion of the One, as it is paradoxical, and in the end, there is no discernable difference, as too is the way of the Absolute.

Appendix: The Auric Axioms

A formal statement of the Laws as inferred from the Auric Mandate.

Definitions:

The One: The Solitary God, the indivisible Whole, the Absolute, of which all beings are fragments of as by the way of The Divine Schema.

Emanation: A fragment of the One, veiled in form unto itself, whether physical or spiritual.

Ordering: The present disposition of The One toward Its emanations.

Estrangement: A state in which an emanation resists or delays the return to the One, and so is deemed anathema, “abomination”.

The Auric Mandate: The property by which Aurum may cut with peculiar force to particular emanations that are presently counted amongst the estranged and abominable.

Continuities: Those who defer the dissolution of the physical form, gaining immortality, but by subverting the returning order.

Axioms:

  1. All emanations are contingent upon the ordering of the One.
  2. No property of an emanation is intrinsic; all properties are relational to the current ordering of the One, as part of the Divine Schema.
  3. The efficacy of Aurum is determined solely by the ordering of the One toward a given emanation.
  4. Reclassification of an emanation may occur without change to its substance.
  5. Estrangement, conversely to being that of essence, is in that of a mutable relation to the One.
  6. The ordering of the One changes as It moves between the Mandate and the Eschaton.
  7. Reclassification occurs when an emanation ceases to serve the movement of the Whole in its present phase.
  8. Mortal will alone cannot alter or forestall the moment of reclassification.
  9. All mortal security in standing is illusory; only the return to the One is beyond change.

Postulates:

  1. That which is aligned with the current movement of the One is spared the Auric Mandate.
  2. That which resists the current movement of the One is subject to the Auric Mandate.
  3. Both resistance and alignment are encompassed within the One’s motion, and thus serve the return to the One.

Common Notions:

  1. The mutable is no less ordered than the fixed. It is mutability that is the sign of the living order itself.
  2. The law that takes effect today may too spare tomorrow, but both are the law of the One.
  3. All freedom is an appearance; all motion is the motion of the one.

Conclusion

It is evident that the mutable property of Aurum is a visible measure of the One’s invisible ordering, and that mortal will has no part in determining this measure. The wise who would grasp the Gnosis should not study the substance of those beneath the Auric Mandate, but the form of the One’s visage, the cause of all classification and reclassification. In this way, we shall know the inevitability of return to the One.

Let the reader, if they bear ears, hear the cause behind the Auric Mandate; and if they have eyes, behold the face of the One.
