To the People of the Commonwealth,

When I heard the news that the doom of the continent of Georgia (colloquially Aevos) was impending, I set upon myself to attempt to preserve as much of the wildlife that had blessed our lands upon that continent. For while our nature of Descendantkind has been cyclical, ever moving, ever enduring, I could not in good faith allow such an aspect as our Commonwealth to be left behind.

In my attempts, I managed to preserve the following species, even through great hardships: six bogworm beetles from the Queen’s Meadows, four boars from the Konnywald, two vultures from Cadaver Copse, ten Petran Deer from the Lady’s Brake, two mountain lions of the Black Hills, twelve Snorgi of the Black Hills, and six moles of Chambery. We did, of course, also secure a large population of Petran trout, which will hopefully repopulate our rivers and our lakes here on Azuras.

Attempts at securing a pairing of giant birds from Konnywald, however, the result of the attempt resulted in the tragic abduction of one Mr. Louis Triste and Édouard Gustave de Lune Souriante. We did not make any attempts to secure a manticore, as we believe it better for the world that they stay in our past. Neither did we attempt to make any attempt to preserve the sewer ooze of Chambery. We did, however, attempt to secure the Demon Fish of Fir’steinn, but such attempts resulted in the loss of Mr. Kylian Troisbras’ right arm.

With the species we have secured, we now begin the second part of this project, which shall require the aid of you, the people.

THE PETRAN SURVEY OF NEW LANDS UPON THE CONTINENT OF AZURAS

The Petran Survey of New Lands upon the Continent of Azuras (PSNLUCA) shall be our first and foremost effort to explore and charter the Petran lands, as well as neighbouring unclaimed lands.

The aims and objectives of this survey are many. There is, of course, the general aim to familiarise ourselves with the land that we reside in, to figure out what its natural resources are and how we may best plan ahead. A secondary, yet core, objective is to find habitats for all of those species which have been preserved from Aevos.

All are welcome to participate in the survey and will have their voices heard by me. While I shall head efforts, others may also take initiative. Whether you are a group of people, or an individual who has been roaming the local lands, you are always free to approach me about anything, from an abundance of rare wood, or if you believe you’ve found the perfect habitat for Snorgi.

If you are interested, or have surveyed the lands already, write me a letter or seek me out in the city. If you are particularly interested in surveying for new habitats for preserved species, read Prince Gareth of the Petra and of Astor’s work “A Cursory Study of the Petran Commonwealth’s Ecology” for further information on these.
