On behalf of the Okaasan of Hanzo, I, Tōshu of the Kato Clan, shall honor Kato Choumi’s wish. Her wish was to be disowned and I shall honor that. Her and her child will be hereby disowned and therefore will not be able to inherit the Clan as per the Constitution of Kurai Kuni under 第四章 21. They will not be a part of the family registry or be known as a citizen of Kurai Kuni and will not be harassed or chastised by the Oyashimans. They are free to live their lives as they see fit and prosper.

"To leave a child to fend for themselves, to abandon someone in need after their mother has died, these actions reveal how the shackles of deceit and tradition never cease to twist the mind and soul. C-Choumi-chan, you did not deserve this. Them, me."

She murmured to the tree within her haven, her voice carrying only sorrow. Several branches curled gently around her shoulders in response. She no longer knew where to place the blame, upon herself, the samurai, Choumi, or any of the others. Her thoughts remained an entangled, an unrelenting turmoil, emotions she struggled to understand.

"There is no family. No care. Only the selfish desire to preserve something destined to wither regardless. Oijin, Rahar, I beseech you break any law  that continues to harm our people in this path of lies."

"Don't worry, Hanzo. I will maintain the true promise of your mother. I will take care of you."

Castamir read the missive with an odd sense of relief and bitterness both. Relief, in that Hanzo was free to live his own life, make his own choices. Bitterness, because he had to lose half his possible family to get it. Relief, that he no longer had to lie to the Katos. Bitterness, because Erwin's problems were still his own in many ways.
He looked to Hanzo and said, "You'll make them both proud."

After leaving Angernost, Ichika pauses he gazes to the dark shadow which was the building. A bubbling bittersweet feeling rest in the pit of her stomach. "He will be safe with them, hai? May the Kami watch over him...he is with a good home....Choumi-chan's wish is fulfilled and honored." She says to Hiemon, the fae creature that nudged her back to head home. She sobbed a sigh and headed off knowing what she did was the right choice.
