I've seen a lot of people asking around in discords, myself and others on the forums recently as well. I figure a quick and easy post to address this is well deserved:

 

If LotC will not load for you, but all other servers work fine and your connection/internet is good, then use a VPN!

 

I do not know why this happens. That's a question for some tech lads and lassies (@Daisysave us), but thus far the only consistent 'fix' I've seen is a VPN. A paid one works great, but if you're poor or saving money then I suggest using the free version of Proton VPN. Just know the issue is not on your end and its becoming an increasingly common thing to see. I've not been able to connect to LotC without a VPN for 3 days now, so sitting and waiting for it probably won't help much.

Okay, despite the good intention of the post;

I don't think that just saying 'just use a VPN' is a good idea, especially when it comes to new players, etc.

There is a technical problem that must be addressed.

You've missed the point - I am not saying "use a vpn and call it a day!" - I am saying "Use a vpn while tech team does tech things if you cannot play the server at all."

 

And though I'm confident that someone on tech team is already aware of this issue given how wide spread it is(if only a handful here and there, its affecting a lot of different communities), this post also doubles as a ping towards daisy just in case they are somehow not aware, while also having been uploaded alongside an official bug-report!

As of 4 hours ago, looking through the closed tickets, tech team has claimed that this issue is outside of LotC's control and is user-end/networking issue and thus the only thing to do is exactly as my post says. However I do think this is mildly foolish if its affecting a wide amount of people all with specifically LotC. I'm no tech genius, but if everyone affected says something smells like fish, looks like fish, and is a fish... then the fish probably isnt correct if it says "no, you guys are fish"

I'd fix it but it's genuinely not something w/ the minecraft server itself. Could be the server backend, or the host. 🤷‍♀️ Daisy says it's the host, so the best you can do is use a VPN, hotspot, or cloudflare warp: https://one.one.one.one (it's free) (I actually can't connect at all anymore without it)

Have the same issue which I complained about a lot of times. I believe people from SEA region struggle to connect very frequently. Using cloudflare warp fixes it for me
