“What is old will be revised once again, and what was unjust will be diminished against the just.

Within the Qalasheen estate, behind the curtains of the Sheikh’s room, the candlelight flickered low. Amin sat reclined upon cushions, his frame thinned by fever, his skin warm to the touch, yet pale beneath his beard. The air was thick with the soft scent of cardamom tea and clove, an old remedy passed down by the mothers of the tribe.

He had tried to rise that morning, to attend the Majlis, to oversee the affairs of the Banu Shaheed and their neighbors. But his steps had faltered. His vision had blurred. The strength that once filled his stride, the voice that once rang across the Musallah, now wavered beneath the weight of some unseen ailment.

Servants moved quietly around him, bringing dates soaked in water and dab with honey, and damp cloths for his brow. His tasbih beads remained wrapped around his fingers, his thumb moving over them even as his breath came slow and shallow.

Amin lifted a hand slightly, gesturing to for the pen as he begin writing yet another letter, moments turn to hours before he finally completed them. handing the letter to those close to him as he spoke to them.

"I entrust to you to read these two letters before them, I pray they may find wisdom in it... Send them my salaams and ask of them for their dua for Allah to grant me Shifa..."

He gave a soft, tired smile, not of defeat, but of patience. "For in the heart of every trial, there is a lesson. In every hardship, a test."

As the sun set upon the estate, the Sheikh was laid upon his bed, not in death, but in recovery. A man worn by service, retreating into silence, so that his strength may return.

There would be two public Letters each carrying Amin Authentic Seal and signature.

In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.

All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the heavens and the earth, the one who brings forth the dawn and lays down the shadows of night. We send peace and endless blessings upon His noble Prophets and upon all those who follow the straight path with sincerity and patience.

Peace be upon those who extend their hands in friendship and kindness, who approach our door with pure hearts and honest tongues.

Peace and grace be upon you, O my people, tribesmen and tribeswomen, young and old, kin and companion alike.

I speak to you not from the height of my strength, but from a bed softened only by the remembrance of Allah and the loyalty I carry for you in my heart. Sickness has overcome me for a time, and in this absence I have entrusted your affairs to Adel Al-Rashid, my cousin, he who has walked beside me through storm and stillness, and whom I find trust that Allah will not disgrace me with my decision.

I have named him Na'ib over the estate and its people in this hour. But understand, Oh my family, my beloved, my friends and my people! No authority is complete without counsel, and no leadership is safe without correction. Just as I have always welcomed your voices, so too must Adel. And just as I was held accountable by your eyes and tongues in fairness, so too must he be weighed on the scales of justice.

Support him, yes but not blindly. Advise him, guide him, remind him of the path if ever he strays from it, for this is how the people of righteousness preserve their dignity. We are not subjects to men, but servants of Allah. And every soul is responsible in what they give or withhold.

Let it not be said that we are a people who sit idle when correction is due, nor that we rebel when obedience is required. Rather, be firm with kindness, and loyal with wisdom. That is the balance our deen calls us to.

Maintain your prayers. Watch over one another. Speak truth even when it stings. And never forget that a people who guard both their leaders and themselves.

they are the ones who rise as a single body, unbroken.

By Allah, if this illness be a trial, then I shall meet it with Sabr. And if it be a reminder, then I submit and give Shukr for it. But know this: you are not abandoned, nor adrift. As long as the hearts of this estate beat with sincerity, we will endure.

Oh my People, Take true to my words engrave it in my absence, may you find wisdom in it. What is old will be revised once again, and what was unjust will be diminished against the just.’

May Allah preserve you, guide you, and keep the banner of the Qalasheen high, not by sword alone, but by faith, honor, and unity.

And Allah is the best of guardians and inheritors.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate

From: Amin bin Shamil Al-Assad, Sheikh of the Qalasheen
To: Adel Al-Rashid, my cousin, my companion, my brother in the path of Allah

Peace be upon you, and the mercy and blessings of the Most High.

I write to you with a trembling hand and a quiet chest, for this illness has weakened my limbs, but not my resolve. And before Allah, the All-Knowing and the Most Just, I have named you as Na'ib, as Deputy and regent in my absence, over our people, the Banu Shaheed, and the greater estate of the Qalasheen. This trust is not light, nor should it ever be treated as such. It is a mantle, not of pride, but of responsibility. And by Allah, it is heavier than iron and more binding than blood.

Ya Adel, if you fear Allah, then you will never fear man. Know that leadership is not the sharpening of the voice nor the broadness of one’s chest, but justice in judgment, gentleness in command, firmness in truth, and humility before the Most High.

Do not lie, even if it benefits you. Do not flatter, even if it eases the way. Do not favor your kin over the just. Do not raise your hand save in necessity. Do not turn away from the weak, nor silence the voices of the poor, for by Allah they are closer to Paradise than those with gold.

I command you, as your elder and your sheikh.. Rule with what Allah has sent down in the Kitab Al-Salaam, and what has been taught to us by our teachers and those who came before who were better than us in character and understanding with sincerity. Let no man be punished except with evidence, and no woman be shamed or dishonored except with truth. Let no guest go unfed, and no orphan unguarded. Raise your hands often in du’a, and keep your head lowered in counsel.

Do not raise the whip, except against the defiant. Do not favor your tongue over your ears. Beware the temptation of arrogance, Shaiytain was arrogant before our Rabb and verily he is indeed an enemy to the descendants. And if ever you find yourself lost, return to the Musallah Al-Ashraf and prostrate to your Lord, truly Ar-Rahman will grant guidance to those who place their trust in him.

I entrust you not because of blood, but because I have seen in you the ability to fear Allah in public and in solitude. If you rule well, it is not you who ruled, but Allah through your hand. If you oppress, then know that the Day of Judgment shall not forget, and the record does not miss.

Ya ibn Ami, take every cry of the people as a cry against yourself. Take every complaint as an opportunity to act with justice. Take every praise with caution, and every criticism with gratitude. For Allah does not judge by the tongues of men, but by the sincerity of their deeds.

I say to you! Fear Allah more than you fear failure. Obey Him more than you obey men. And love the truth more than you love comfort. In this, you will find leadership not as a crown on the head, but as light in the grave.

May Allah grant you steadfastness like the mountain, and a heart soft as wool before the cries of the people. May He guide your judgment, forgive your slips, and write you among the righteous who stood firm while others turned away.

And Allah is the Guardian of those who are mindful.

OOC:

Hey guys, So my character will be sick etc at the estate for a while, in meantime I'm going on a 2 week irl trip fi sibbillah and Due to me being unable to get to rp with my beloved community as much as I wanted due to travel preparations and finals exams etc I feel the least I could do is give you all something so you all are not confused where I'm at xD, I love you all very much but allow me to give advise oocly while I'm gone.

I know there's a LOTC war going on and there are a lot of concerns. Do not allow toxicity to become you. It speaks more of their character than it does you, so be kind, just, and honorable. They can be the vilest of creation, but I know every single one of you, don't allow it to tarnish what's good about you. Take my words close, in every person there is at least 10 qualities or traits, 9 of which can be good, they are fair, just, honorable, kind, etc., but the one trait may be something big or small, can be a bad habit, actions, or words we say. You will always be in a state of struggle against this one trait, for if you do not keep it in check, it will corrupt and overshadow all the beautiful traits that make you who you really are.

I have many friends who reside within the empire and the horde, don't worry or stress... but I urge everyone with the depth of my heart to always be the better person, don't take what happens in a game so seriously in your heart. I swear to you that people OOC are amongst the kindest and good people on the community... they do not mean any ooc offenses to each other... Enjoy the game.

Most importantly, regardless of how conflicts go, people will always remain oocly for a time. What may be your enemy ig one time, may be your family oocly the next.  On LOTC, you are all family community, we may not always get along, but we always strive to be better people. Anyway, I'll see you crazy heads in several weeks. I'll try to keep in touch on Discord from time to time.
