“Know this. The Phony Emperor is Afraid of you.”

Many times, we have heard the same tale, over and over, false accusations of deceitful justice and order. Remarks and quips meant to force us into blindly following any command, lest we be labeled dishonorable. 

Yet my question lingers: what TRULY is honor? This concept so many wield to a fault, using it to condemn others while presenting themselves as morally righteous. How mistaken they are. This is not honor, it is a twisted mockery of it. A false virtue they are enslaved to, chained by a blood-shedding pact upheld only by tyrants afraid of numbers rising against them, and to protect their withering powers.

Honor has only one true meaning: to remain true to yourself and to seek freedom on the path of becoming a better person. Once you understand this, tyrants will no longer seem as nightmarish as they wish you to believe. This is a lesson each vassal of the empire and beyond should heed carefully, should they be afraid to act.

They wield oaths and honor as weapons to instill fear, to prevent rebellion, to stop unity from forming into a force of liberation that could shape a better future. Trust my words: when a tyrant looms tall upon a towering throne of corpses, once surrounded and cast down from that seat, they will appear as frightened and weak as an insect.

Sir Redgar( @Guacamou) and Sir Khaleed( @Chrisoulis777), no matter what the other knights or the emperor may say, today you have honored your ancestors; don't feel shame if you refuse to participate in the trial, but be proud for refusing any more orders from those accursed by Iblees. You have upheld the oaths of your hearts by standing for what you believe is right. Therefore, do not fear what comes next. Do not fear their threats. 

And above all… stand together with the others. I know well how terrifying the unknown can be, but this is the moment to right our wrongs, to find redemption, and to secure a future where our families are no longer hunted by murderous tyrants. To this, I say. Bring forth your desire for battle, your indomitable human spirit to overcome all obstacles, do this, one last time to…

He pondered those knights reasons, but, all the same, the man returned to stocking his stalls.

Redgar chuckled. He had been hiding in the same basement for three weeks now, every paper brought to him a welcome entertainement. Yet, as he read the missive, a frown appeared on the man's face.

"Do they really believe we'll join them ? A despise what the empire 'as become, but A also despise their enemies."

The seasoned Templar sighed. He knew their decision to desert would cause some noise, but he didn't expect that much.
