Good morning, afternoon and evening to all those who read this.
As you may know, it's been officially one full year since the previous battle of the arts was announced, and with smol_bean becoming the new community team Admin, we were given the green flag to start hosting new contests and events.

Alas, to celebrate such, the community team brings to you the first edition of 2026's battle of the arts, celebrating one of the most famous events around the world, known for many names.

Mardi Gras, Mashramani, and of course…the Carnevale! A festival that celebrates elements from numerous cultures around the world, and the massive diversity amongst such people.

We look forward to seeing how the community brings this celebration to life through their own creativity.

VISUAL ART & CHARACTER ART

MUST be within LotC guidelines

Cannot include NSFW, Major Gore, or any explicit themes.

Cannot plagiarize someone else’s work in any capacity.

Any Minecraft skin entered that you are willing to donate to the skin archive will receive an automatic 300 mina bonus. Please note on your post if willing to donate. The mina bonus is limited to one skin only, though multiple can be donated.

It needs to be previously unseen artwork - As in new visual & character art.

Using AI to create the visual art or character art will be met with disqualification.

The theme is ‘Carnevale’. your creativity can flow in any direction.
