ALL ARE INVITED TO JOIN the Northern Geographical Society in an evening of mirth and celebration as we honor not only our own 300 years of academic excellence, but also the great changes and transformations that have occurred in the world at large. At our Tricentennial Gala, we will unveil not only a series of special exhibitions centered around the last three centuries, but also the entirety of our brand-new Rittersburg Headquarters, its extensive renovations finally completed. These renovations - on par with a complete reconstruction - could not have been possible without the financial and diplomatic support of citizens like you. In thanks for these community contributions, it is with great pleasure that we at the NGS invite everyone who may wish to attend our gala to join us in our celebrations; be they noble or common, man or elf. Guests are encouraged to dress finely, in colors of green and maroon, but dress code will not be strictly enforced.

Tanith Vursur, the newly-appointed Chief Archivist of the Northern Geographical Society, sits in the NGS Museum vault cataloging and organizing books and artifacts by lamplight. She's been up all night, hard at work, and it shows in the blue-black circles under her eyes.

 

She slides her fingers beneath the lenses of her glasses and groans. "Have to get it done before the gala..." she murmurs, fighting off the inexorable pull of sleep...

Finding a copy of the missive amongst the hundreds of books currently being sorted in what once was the home of the main branch would a certain gobliness paused from the toiling of labor for a thought. Part of Gummy couldn't help but smile as much as her shoulder's scar did so as well towards the news, though her gears began to turn with an odd spark of enthusiasm for the event.

"....Time tu start preparing on da side then.... Even if they is wrong tu use race as a weapon, we will show them how good we is." Gummy chittered to herself with a small smile. She could already feel herself planning in her mind of everything she'd have to dig up once more, but a certain spirit would be looking down upon the gobliness with the same, twisted smile that had begun to brew.
