Hey, I don't know you but I wanted to say I'm proud. Moving across an ocean to a whole new country at any age is intimidating at best and terrifying at worst, let alone when you are still a kid or teen. Mishaps and struggles aside, you seem to really have adapted well to your surroundings even if it took a while to reach that point. I say this as someone who moved to a different continent as a young adult, all alone. I can't imagine how difficult it would have been if I was even younger, having to start afresh in so many ways. You've done really well for yourself.

 

I joined LOTC when I was a kid and played sporadically over the years, and now I'm soon to start as a postgraduate researcher. Time really flies. I don't have the time I used to have to play LOTC, but I still hop on when it suits, because I have never lost my love for roleplaying and storytelling. If it's not fun for you, there's no shame in taking a break. I've had several years-long breaks at this point, being an old head now. Sounds cheesy as hell, but you will cherish these memories.

 

Let me know if you ever want to talk music. I was a classically-trained musician headed toward attending a conservatoire before pivoting to academics, so I know a thing or two.
