Ascended Recruitment

I've gotten a ton of messages from people asking why the Ascended are so small and aren't recruiting. Hopefully this forum post will clear up some of the confusion.

First of all, we are recruiting, just on a very small scale. The reason for this is that we lack the proper facilities to fully recruit more members. When our facilities are finished, we will recruit in classes of 6 people. There will be no set date to finding classes, it will only happen when we find 6 people who are worthy of joining the Ascended.

Another question that I get asked a lot is what we are looking for when we recruit players. To put it simply, we look at everything: your rp skill, building skill, pvp skill, character background, and how you act in ooc. We will host several competitions in the upcoming weeks that will give us a good look at these traits. We are also watching players, and will frequently travel to the capitals of the four races to meet new players, our most recent trip took us to the capital of Oren!

Finally, if you happen to find our city, yes several have, please don't build a residence near by. We journeyed a great distance to keep our city away from everyone, at least for now :), and building a house near our city really takes away from the lore and landscape.

Any questions regarding the Ascended can be asked in THIS forum post, or by PM to me. Questions in the form of ooc chat, /tell, or any other means will be ignored. This will let us view all of the questions in one area and respond to each.

So when you travel to all capitals, that means you will not come to smaller Cities like Kal'Alras or Raven Hold? Most of the Dwarves spread around Kal'Urgan, the great halls are empty...

you have to have some skill in all the areas, but the most important is your character. We want good people, with good rp skill, in the ascended. Yes, we will notify you when we are hosting the contest (will probably be a thread in this section)

does someones race effect their chance of getting in? i know most of the sages are dwarves so do dwarves have a better chance of getting in?

all the races are looked at equally...no race has any precedent over any other. Except orcs. We hate orcs.

Why is that? Some orcs are even more honorable than some dwarfs.
