To the Weefolk of Azuras

Thain Arthur Littlewood

Year 874 of Shire Reckoning

Spoiler

Let it be known that the rebuilding of a true home for our continent’s weefolk is underway. Through the patronage of the Empire, and most especially those of House Helane, the former lands of Amberdell are to go through a period of nourishment to remove the self-inflicted destruction wrought on it by the select few who chose the displacement of the weefolk over its prosperity. These truly improper halflings have shown how adherence to the old ways lead to the self-destruction of those who find themselves complacent in them.

These improper halflings destroy Amberdell out of their selfishness and vision of trying to escape the Empire’s attempt at peaceful coordination only now to coddle up to the Empire’s administration in the province of Norland once they realise they have nowhere else to go. How does this bitterness serve the weefolk? It does not. Anger, bitterness, spite, and betrayal are not how you lead a people.

I offer a new direction. The only direction. I implore all Weefolk of Azuras to join me in the resettling of the lands of Amberdell as a new village. A new shire. The Shire of Brindlebrook. Under this new governance, all prior grievances shall be cast aside and those who contributed to the destruction of Amberdell shall be given a second chance to humble themselves and demonstrate their willingness to be proper where it matters most.

To all those who wish to join me in this path, seek me out in the Empire’s capital of Rittersburg or write to me to learn more. More details shall be published once resettlement officially begins.

Elsbeth cackles a little upon reading the notice regarding the Imperial Shire. "There ain't a singular direction, at the very least Mr. Littlewood offers a option, a very sour option tha' no true Halflin' will ever take, unless they forgot our traditions and the true ways of Knox an' Arugala." She shakes her head, tossing the paper with the notice aside. "I rather be drowned in the sea an' taken by Arugala herself before i cast aside the ways of my people, and i hope those who perished in the fall of Dunwen cannot see the dark days we live on."
