In the early hours of the 20th of Owyn’s Flame, lightless men rode into Imperial lands. Steel brandished to kill and pillage. They rode deep into Crownland territory met with no resistance. The bandits of Salvo, ever eager to do their ill bidding.

It was on that day that they were driven back. Forced into a retreat by the hands of a meager force of peasants. The Salvian cavalry rode on the Margraviate with the belief it would be an easy target, ill equipped and poorly fortified.

Though, it would not take long for them to soon realize the vast number of the Avistran peasantry willing to take up arms. And that they did, they took to the streets with courage not seen in Avistra since the days of the Druscan war.

On foot, Ser Kestrel Altwegg led them into a charge, he was accompanied by Ser Kepha the Phoenix and Ser Merle Altwegg-Winburgh they would at first flood out of the town gates. Overwhelming the inferior number of Salvian riders and dealing crucial damage to their cavalry. The fighting dragged on, and casualties were taken on both sides. However, the stubborn Dove of Avistra returned to its nest battle-tested knowing she could once again fly.

Somewhere within the Avistran landscape, a smaller blonde woman reads the missive and protests, "Hey! Where's my special mention!"

While harvesting the ripe wheat fields of Avistra, a particular man wearing a fine overcoat reads the missive. "I approve of this message," is simply commented in regards to such.

Although she had not been present for the events of the raid, the Margrave had heard plenty of it upon her return from the capital. Peasants loudly cheering, with tankards that clattered in the city square about the victory they held over those of greater resolve.

It was true. Drusco was something else and since the war, they had refrained from raising blades or trying to chew too much that they could handle. The talons had born against the teeth of dogs and they lost. Despite it all, injured and battered, her people persisted. It seemed that the claws of a bird healed had never dulled, even after so many long years of restitution.

A smile crossed Arya's face, "Look how far we've come." She would have to join her people for a fight some time.

Junco, the youngest Altwegg found she held disappointment. She'd been napping when the brigands had breached her home, and the child missed the fight as a whole. She knew she would not have been allowed to join in, but to watch as the brave Serfs, and she supposed her family was there too, fight and drive the Salvians back. It must of been quite the sight!

"Hey, I was part of it too, where's my mention?" Huffed Osprey Altwegg as he read it, wanting to be included.

Yanick, though dissapointed for having not helped the peasants with their fight against the bandits of Salvo, was nonetheless proud at the show of strength and resolve from the Margraviate of Avistra.
