TO THE PEOPLE OF THE MOUNTAINS AND THE LAKES,

 

The Duchy of Valwyck announces joyous news: that the eldest son of the Ducal couple, GAREN BERNARD BARUCH, has reached his eighteenth year, and is ready to be welcomed into adulthood to serve his family and Empire. Additionally, many years away from home and his subsequent return has brought all of Valwyck and Tarnavon to celebration, and invites all to partake in the festivities.

 

I. CONQUERER OF THE MOUNTAIN

 

The activities shall begin with a game of Conqueror of the Mountain, or more commonly known as King of the Hill. Players shall make their way to the top of a hill and brawl other participants to maintain his standing atop the peak. The winner will be decided by whoever is closest to the center of the peak by the sound of the horn, and will receive a prize of 100 mina.

 

II. THE BEAR’S TOURNEY

 

Festivities will continue in the town of Tarnavon, where all are invited to participate in a jousting tournament. Ladies are encouraged to provide favors to their cherished, or predicted victor. The champion of the tournament will receive a prize of 200 mina, with the runner up receiving 100 mina.

III. FEAST OF CELEBRATION

 

To conclude the evening, friends and family are welcomed to the Castle Barden for an extravagant feast in honor of Lord Garen. Ayrikiv delicacies and drinks shall fill the tables, and merriment shall overflow the halls. At this time, gifts, well wishes, and other introductions may be made to the young Lord.
