-Biography: (Warning: It is VERY long!)

Greetings, readers. I am Zakariah Felharte. I was raised by the High Elves, an ancient group of elves who are known for their knowledge and power. When I was a mere child, about 200 years old, my home, a place called Rensdam, was attacked by Dark Elves.

The Dark Elves are the sworn enemy of the High Elves, but recently the two have been known to be friends, even companions. I am proof of this. My father, Mycerne, was a powerful Dark Elf, second-in-command in a group of powerful sorcerers. My mother, Kelethne, was just a normal townswoman. She often did favours for the other inhabitants of Rensdam. She was the one who raised me, and I lived my early life in that peaceful place. I never met my father, and I never will.

When Rensdam was attacked, I was taken by the Dark Elves as a slave. I worked as a slave for several months, doing chores like cleaning out the horses’ stables and disposing of large bags my owner said was ‘unneeded rubbish.’ The bags were large, almost the size of a man, and were nearly impossible to move.

I was soon recognised by my owners because of my prowess in the martial arts. They took me to a training academy, where I fought another young elf named Mytros. I defeated him with ease and was accepted into the academy. There I met an upperclassman named Malekith. He was kind to me and we soon became great friends. Little did I know at the time, but Malekith was actually my cousin. My father, Mycerne, was his uncle. I did not learn this fact for another 25 years.

I was the most skilled among my group and was also the most powerful when it came to magic. I was pleased I was doing so well, but secretly envying Malekith’s abilities. I did not have a family at this time, and slept in the academy dormitories.

20 years after coming to the academy, I realised that my power was far greater than that of my classmates. I never lost a single battle against any of them, always coming out victorious. I eventually plucked up the courage to discuss it with my master. He agreed with me and, now knowing my thoughts on the matter, sent me to join the upperclassmen. I knew immediately that it was a mistake.

Every fight I was in against my new classmates I lost. I was also the lowest in my class when it came to magic. I soon realised that I had rushed into things too quickly. I went to speak with my master, and he told me that he knew that that would happen. He said it taught me a lesson about rushing in and thinking about the consequences later. I had realised my mistake and continued my training with my correct year.

5 years later, I was called in by my master, who said that he had news for me. He told me that my good friend and ally, Malekith, was in fact my cousin. I was both shocked and ecstatic at this as I had always admired Malekith’s skills. I went to live with him and his -sorry- my family. I met his father Aenarion and his mother Morathi. They were both kind and welcoming to me, a newly discovered family member.

When I finally graduated from my training academy at age 800, I was still just a teenager. I decided to make a living for my family by helping out around the town, doing any odd jobs anybody needed doing.

I helped the city’s lumberjack, chopping down trees with an axe which was a gift. I helped the blacksmith in finding ores in the local mines. I even helped the Warrior guild’s leader, Kaloth, find his son who ran off to escape training. I was soon given the nickname ‘Zak of All Trades.’

As I came towards adulthood I realized something. I did not have a proper job, a calling in life. I set off out to find one. I thought of being an assassin, but I was no murderer. I thought of sorcerers, but I liked combat. Eventually I realized that I always had a calling. I was the Zak of All Trades. I continued with my life happily knowing this fact.

Many years later, at age 2300 or so, I went to visit my old school master. When I arrived at his home, I realized something was wrong. I saw the blood before I saw his body. My master had been killed, and recently.

The blood was still warm and the hole where his heart should have been was fresh. I heard a noise near me. I swung my leg into the darkness and felt it connect with something or someone. I waited for the crash of the object or being hitting the wall, but it never came. Instead, a quick swipe at the back of my neck knocked me unconscious.

I awoke with knowledge that shocked and terrified me. I had felt the same strike in training. It had been Malekith. My cousin had killed my master. I could not understand why he did it. Was it the ancient Dark Elf custom of killing your master once he had taught you everything? Whatever the reason, I still knew the truth. And I was the only one who knew.

Or so I thought. In the week that passed since the event, suspicion had been surrounding Malekith. One day I went to see my cousin at his home, but he was not there. I went to ask the city’s board chairman. He told me that my Malekith had been exiled to the chaos realm and that he was the one who made the order.

I was shocked at this, but mostly angry. So angry in fact that I killed my first being that night. Once I realized what I had done I followed my cousin into the chaos realm, using the portal held within the city council chamber.

I searched the realm for 50 years but found no trace of my cousin. I finally found a portal that I thought would lead back to my city, but instead led to a strange new place called Aegis. I searched this land and came across a building with a sign saying ‘Malekith’s Residence’ and I knew that I had found my dear cousin. I entered the building, and also entered a new life.

-Does your character have any special skills? : I have been trained in all forms of combat by the greatest trainers in the Dark Elf city of Naggarond. I know where all the vital organs are and how to exploit them and I know over 1000 different ways of killing an enemy from poison to straight-up decapitation.

Please be patient while a GM promotes you in-game!

I loved reading your Application! It was well written and it came across my mind that you've actually put effort into this application! For that matter you have been accepted and your doors to Aegis have been opened.

There were a few things that came across my mind during your application though they didn't strike me as important because I thought you could easily fix it.

  • Elves: Below 200 is not yet fully mature for an elf while 1000 is considered relativly old.

We were told a list of ages for elves so I don't know if in the 2000's would really fit into Aegis, I myself have never even seen a 1000 Year old elf. You could maybe say that when entering Aegis you were restored to the Age of 200ish maybe? One more thing was it was hard to read because it was all the same color the questions weren't bold or anything but I read it and loved it. Either way great application!

Thank you for accepting me into the world of Aegis! I am looking forward to going onto the server! By the way, I made my age into over 2000 because I have a friend on the server named Malekith (I wrote about him in my application) his character is about 4 years older than my character, and he was allowed on the server.
