Under the shade of trees.

I am writing to you today as your Prince, your neighbor, and most importantly, your friend. Today, we are faced with a threat so great, so despicable, and so alien, that most of us have ignored for the pat 50 years. They have burnt are forests, filled or ponds with ash, and killed our brothers and sisters. They pillage their way through our holy city, and try to infiltrate us at every turn. They are hate, they are anger, they are evil. They are the undead.

They are coming, no doubt. I am afraid that if Oren could not hold them back, we stand little chance of doing so. But, we have to try. We are not fighting for conquest, or riches. We are fighting for survival.

The undead have deployed new, dangerous weapons against us. One shoots fire that burns wood like kindling. But, we have discovered new weapons to fight them with as well. Ender pearls, snow golems, and potions among them. We are desperately working to implement theses weapons to defend Malinor, but it still may not be enough.

We must continue fighting, however, because we owe it to ourselves to go out with a bang. We need the undead to pay a terrible price for everly leaf they burn, every twig they crack, every tree they fell. We fight in memory of those who came before us, who have fallen defending our great nation. We owe it to them to fight over the trees they grew, and to protect the things they learned.

This is the only option. We all must fight. The druids cannot hide in their tree any longer, as it will burn with the rest of the city during the battles. Even if you cannot pick up a sword, you can help the wounded, or pass out supplies. It may look bleak, but as long as we stand in Malinor, we have hope.

Hope is something we must keep in coming times, as they will be hard. These may feel like the longest days of your life. But I believe, from my experience among the elves, that we are a strong people. We do not give up easily, and we have survived through the hardest times. I know that we can put up a fight, but I cannot guarantee that it will be enough at the end of the day. But, what is life if everything is guarenteed?

We must look to our leaders for guidance, as Native chose us for a reason. He knew we would be strong enough to guide Malinor through times of crisis. We cannot have descent, not right now, as it woukd lead to our ruin. I know I am asking a lot from many of you, and that some of you have doubts. Have no doubt that the undead will come, and it is up to us to stop them. We will never surrender, as the undead would just kill us anyway.

Remember to fight for every inch, every leaf, and every twig.

May your arrows fly staight,

Prince Ebs

I will serve Malinor to my greatest extent. Thank you for your great leadership, my prince.

I used to be an adventurer like you, but then I got an arrow to the knee. :/

My leg was lost, due to infection.

The trees in the woods; wind wafting through leaves, carrying with it the aroma

of ripe fruits and enchanting blossoms. The sound of a flowing stream

and of the sing-song birds. Of fertile soils and good prospects. Fauna that

graze happily and attend to the wild growth; keeping balance. Keeping

harmony.

We fight for this, and more.

Just as we have

become an essential part of the forests, of Malinor; so too has it become a part

of our spirits. We fortify ourselves. The fires will come, and much ash will

there be.

In the image of a phoenix shall we aspire and proceed. From

ruins shall spring forth new life: so does Nature dictate, and so shall it be

done.

- We are with you.

I feel like the best course of action at this point would to be to fortify Laurelin, as that would be the center of our resistance. We should make the city a winding maze, with narrow passages, and archer positions. We need to use cover to our advantage, and we have to set up traps and such to slow/ hurt the undead. And I feel there should be two centers of defense, none in the trees in the old city, and the druid tree, which will be easy to defend. Do not lose hope brothers and sisters, because that is the one thing thatnthe undead cannot take from us.

We are currently turning several buildings into hotels, so that refugees can have a place to stay. Also, we are working on defense plans to hold the city.

(( sorry guys, but Mylas has decided for us that we cannot increase the fortifications in Laurelin because "He does not trust anyone.' I am outraged, but there is nothing I can do, so....))
