Out-Of-Character:

Minecraft Account Name:

Badgerz

Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?:

I wasn't at MineCon.

How old are you?:

18.

Time-Zone/Country of Residence:

Central Standard Time; United States.

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:

Yes.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:

I am very creative, and am interesting in drawing and writing, as well as building. I'm laid back and am willing to follow any rules that are needed.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

About 5 days a week.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.:

I know how to craft a story in a certain environment, and I know how to change up the story regarding context.

Roleplay is very fun to me. A normal server just doesn't suit me for the type of gaming I like. I like to immerse myself in the game, and it's really hard to sit in a city you created while enjoying your own story you made for it with people saying how much they love tacos and killing one another.

Roleplay is maturity and organization.

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.

Essentially they're people's ways of crappy roleplay. If you can't set borders for yourself, then you can go too far. And in some cases, you have people who want to essentially be superior to others. If you don't have those borders in place for all players, you have those people who feel like they're better than others.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

Organized and mature-- something I've been looking for in a server.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

I've been jumping around different servers, starting with my own friend's server. The server itself was unstable and contained what I mentioned above-- with people so crazily off topic and a complete lack of roleplay or organization. The other servers I've been jumping around have been very similar.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:

Yes.

How did you hear about us?:

The Minecraft Forums.

Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?

I have. I voted for one.

What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?:

Badgerz

In-Character:

Character Name:

"Badgers".

What is your Race?:

Elf.

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Story:

The name "Badgers" is a nickname given to him from his previous home. In an attempt to keep anonymity, he still holds the title, as it shrouds his past from others, as well as grounds a new future.

He originally came from an island nation called "Coppergale"-- a peaceful nation that kept itself isolated from others. The types of civilians that scoured the island came in many different forms, with the traditional races, such as elves and humans, to more mysterious creatures, with names unfamiliar to common tongue.

The nation started off small-- with nothing but a few buildings with an even more ancient tower, marking the heart of the island. Badgers was born on the island and watched it expand in size as he grew older. At the age of 2000, in Human Cycles, Badgers saw the city become an expansive kingdom.

Normally, Coppergale could not live this long, as compared to previous nations, but it gained protection from the tower at its heart. The tower itself was a religious mark-- that kept order and peace to those on the island. This kept the kingdom from attack on the inside and out.

However, the tower came under corruption by an unknown source. Soon, the monks that held the tower up for centuries became its downfall. And with the fall of the tower, the city around it soon began to crumble as well. Evil and fear began to taint the city, with propaganda rising in every corner against the leaders. Eventually Coppergale began to become a target for war, with surrounding nations aiming to bring it down.

To outsiders, Coppergale was known as an "immortal" city, thus tempting others for its secret. Unknown to them, however, was that the target they were aiming for was useless-- as the tower fell, so did its secret. Despite that, it didn't keep away the warring nations. As Coppergale began to rot from the inside out, it proved existence difficult. In an attempt to leave the island, Badgers left for peace.

Appearance/Personality:

Due to the hardship in his life, Badgers has become a more cold and cynical being. In an attempt to hide his past-- a place full of fear and regret-- he shrouds his outer appearance in garb of the color of his fallen nation.

Your characters ambitions:

To find peace and a new niche in his new life.

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?

Seeing as the bandits are unorganized in their combat, with cold eyes and frail bodies, Badgers realizes that the fight will prove itself to be a failure. However, despite the bandits' poor structure, the elf appears to be struck with fear.

Sighing at the situation, Badgers leans up against the tree and walks forward. Pulling out a small pouch, he pulls out a small rock. He tosses it into the woods, behind one of the bandits as a distraction. Taking his spear from his back, he flings it at the unsuspecting bandit, impaling his shoulder.

The elf's reaction turns into horror as the blood trickles from the screaming man. The remaining bandit stares out into the woods with shock staining his face. The bandit flings his knife onto the ground as he picks up his friend and drags him into the woods.

As Badgers leaves the tree, the elf stands back in shock. Nodding in approval, he responds, "They weren't any threat. You're fine."

The elf nods in reassurance and mutters, "What about your weapon?"

With a laugh, he replies, "They needed it more than I did," and walks back into the woods.

Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?

"I would like something to sate my hunger. Preferably nothing awful."

As AWESOME as your biography is, sadly I cannot accept you. Maybe I was not clear enough on my previous feedback but you are not allowed to create lore, as in you are not allowed to come from a nation with elements that are not currently included in our server. As I said (and I was quoting from another wise member of our community I just cannot remember whom...): You come to aegis to develop a character, not come here with a pre-developed one. Please use the lore of Aegis found in the wiki link below...

Your definition of Power-gaming and meta-gaming are incorrect. I can assure you each of these things are different things and are both against the current rules of the server. Review the rules and do a google search to find out what each of these things are.

The answer for the first RP question is brilliant and is exactly what I am looking for in an RP question. Try to put the same effort into the second one as you did the first. On first glance it may seem a very boring and typical question, but I can assure you using your imagination is can be as exciting or more so than the first question. Give it a go! :)

For the vote number, we mean look at the total number of votes and that would be your vote number as you would be the most recent voter.

Do not post another application within 2 days or that application will be skipped.

If you need any help don’t be afraid to send me a PM on the forums.

Good luck :)
