MC Name:Todd877

RP Name:Battlemage_Maverik

Town Name:Lowencaster (not village or city, a town)

Why are you/your character starting this town? What role will it play?

This town isn't exactly starting by my direct command. I want to rp it growing around The Drunken Dragon(?), a magical themed tavern I also plan on opening in the new Aegis. To sum up the purpose of this town, I want it, my pub, and all residents to present, act out, and live a magic oriented life. Since there has been to my knowledge no other town like this before, I hope to make a example for others to follow. It will also, in my mind anyways, help regulate magic rp by getting a majority of it in one place. Also, I plan to make it a neutral town, we will not collectively participate in any conflicts with other nations unless attacked. Orc raiders included.

What type of political system is enforced in this town? Is this town under the reign of any other nation at this time?

Edit: Here is the proposed political system.

Head Council-man (impartial magic user, possibly mage)

The Circle (representatives of the different groups)

Battle Mages (the town watch)

I plan for it to have a Head Council-man and council, with the town guard being the Battle Mages. I hope to find a player, possibly from the Mage's Guild or Druidic Circle that will be willing to do this.

To apply for Head Council-man, please pm your qualifications for this position to me.

If you want to apply for a position in the Circle, you must wait until the town is set up and the different groups will get together and chose the persons for the job.

The circle is chosen based on the votes of a group of magic users. If you are in a minority, say a alchemist, wizard, warlock, witch, or some other type you will be a part of whatever group that best fits your magic.

What sort of behavior will residents exhibit? (Race relations, nation relations, etc.)

Besides it being a magic rp atmosphere, the only noticable trait that the residents will show is their slight prejudice to non-magic users. Otherwise when it comes to groups, you are divided by your calling, not your race. To clarify greater golems, people rping as sentinent monsters, and to my slight charinge, Vampires (if allowed) will be allowed to congregate there.

Where would you prefer the town’s region be, and how large? Including a screenshot of the land would be nice (of game or map).

Most likely it will be in the Oren area, (but not under it's control) since I am human and wouldn't probably get permission anywhere else.

This will be a 2.0 town with the 40x40 space.

Depending on the citizens, I may raise enough money for a town in the mainland in the 2.0 map. I would then want it near a concentration of alchemy resources. If not then I would build the town in the wilds, probably near the human and elf territories.

Any other details (architecture, races, culture, etc):

Architecture will not have a specific theme. The indiviual buildings will be built by the residents, and each will want his specific flair. Mainly thinking of druids and shamans. There has been a particular mage that wants to make his home float a few block off the ground. But there will be some restrictions for making it too clashing with each other. They will ALL have to be within 6x6 area, no exceptions.

While I will not be a member, I support.

Just a suggestion. Wait for the others to post before you put their names on the charter. Some people might not like it and it looks like you're jumping the gun slightly.

And, it makes you look a little silly if they didn't want to pledge support just yet.

Sorry, but when I post those people as a citizen, they pledged their support AND said that the would sign the charter. I thought that was understood.

But again, all the people either gave their support (like you) or gave their support AND pledged to become a citizen.

Fair enough, but putting me and whoever else down who just liked the idea, it's kinda presumtous.

EEEooooohhhh.... Now that I look at it you never did post a "I support this town." Very sorry about that. But, do I still have your support?

P.S. : Besides you, all the other people marked supporter did say they wanted to support the town.

^ My house will only float 1 block off the ground, there's no way I can get enough runes to make it like 5 blocks up xD

[i will happily be a council memmber] Is there a vote on this when the new map comes out?

Well, we will see how everyone is once Aegis 2.0 comes out. People may change thier minds about living here becuase something betters come up. So once we get the charter accepted and Aegis 2.0 comes out, we will see where we stand.

Of course I support- we'll need another way to get mages. But I was simply raising a point that I felt wasn't dealt with correctly.

Perhaps you can orientate it around some sort of natural feature with magical properties, such as a spring. Then you could build the shop near this feature in order to use it properties. It would then make sense for people to start to formulate a town focused on magic around this feature.

I will have to wait and see what land oren is claiming as theirs. I'm not saying I HAVE to, but I would like it if I could place the town near a supply of netherwart.

Would it be possible for me to join/sign this? I like the idea a lot and my character has had minor RP training in magic from another character.

I support +1
