Arkelos 1027 Share Posted December 18, 2011 Vardak walks the king's road, his disguise a leprous mute as he suddenly sees an orc in purple cut up undead robes, tattered and dirty. Vardak reconises the face and greets him with a nod. Thaok'kaxil walks up to him, his years of stealing now blinding him with greed as he draws his blade. Vardak, still playing the role of the mute, takes him off to the side of the road. Thaok puts his blade against Vardak's throat, to which Vardak responds, the disguise melting and the robes re-morphing. "I guess my disguise truly is remarkable." Vardak responded, looking back at Thaok who took his blade back. "Indeed, the fact that your signal didn't tell me that it was you tells me you are growing in power slightly, which might be bad..." Vardak took his last words as a threat, his red eye glowing as a staff appeared in his hand. "What were those last words?" Thaok took his blade and tried to crash it into Vardak, it was parried instantly by Vardak's staff, the wooden shaft taking the hit. "Your power is a bad thing... I'll kill you here." Thaok responded Vardak took advantage of Thaok's speaking and began a quiet chant, the dead appearing behind Thaok. "The High Prophet was right! The Kaxils are cowards and idiots, unable to serve without their own motives!" The walking dead advanced on Thaok as Vardak walked off to find an open area. He found a frozen ocean, with a few towers. Thaok fought off the dead, but was weakened by the Pigman that was brought by Vardak, following him slightly as he limped towards him. Vardak already atop his perch saw him coming, summoning another wave of monsters, Thaok was nearly overwhelmed, he fell to his knees, unable to move or fight from the wounds. "For your betrayal... You shall pay... in PAIN!" Vardak shouted as his purple eye began to glow, lightning hitting Thaok, Thaok roared in pain as the lightning ripped flesh and some of the robes off him. He could not walk, he could not talk. Death was imminent. Vardak walked off his perch slowly, chanting as both eyes began to glow. Staring intently at Thaok. His chanting stopping as he said "You were one of my favorites." Vardak chuckled as he brought forth another mighty lightning bolt onto Thaok, Thaok's body went limp, staring at Vardak as his eyes dulled. "Painful, isn't it? The feeling of your body slowly losing grip of your soul?" Vardak looked into Thaok's eyes intently. "The feeling of death creeping up on you? The feeling of losing everything, the feeling of your own demise..." Vardak took his staff, and violently beheaded Thaok. He then picked Thaok's headless body up, and took his staff, gripping it tightly as he plunged it into Thaok's chest, impaling his heart. "Goodbye, worthless Vermin" Vardak's red eye began to glow by itself, chanting as a fireball went from the staff and into Thaok's chest, The immediate impact blowing him into tiny smouldering bits.
