Out-Of-Character:

Minecraft Account Name: Wookieguy

Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth?: No

How old are you?: 15

Time-Zone/Country of Residence: CMT, Texas USA

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: Indeed

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am a home-schooled kid who enjoys creative activities, which surely fits Minecraft and RP. They go so naturally together, that I just had to try. I used to play on the Minecraft server "Tales of Mel-Lexia".

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: 6-10, more on a very good week.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.: Roleplaying is using your imagination to pretend you are someone else: to become a character. Everything you think becomes that character when RPing: imagination in a way that few partake in.

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.

Metagaming is using OOC knowledge as a player, to affect your character in game in an unrealistic way. Powergaming is to have your character do something that is not logically feasible, to reach your own goals as player.

What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect a group of mature people, roleplaying together for fun. I expect there to be many players online at once who I may interact with, and that I can really focus on RP while online.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: Tales of Mel-Lenxia: Admins were not able to keep the RP/server development together.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes

How did you hear about us?: Another player (Falco8513)

Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?

Yes, number 3,679

What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?: Wookieguy

In-Character:

Character Name: Wookir Turril

What is your Race?: Elf

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Wookir was born in a home high in the trees of Old Laurelin, and was trained by his father in the family business of potion brewing. (A brewing accident is what caused Wookir's unusual brown hair) Wookir quickly found that he was most proficient at raising the melons and sugarcane required for the potions, and he spent long hours out in the family garden tending to the plants.

Unfortunately, both of Wookir's parents were afflicted with a rare hereditary lung disease that required costly treatments to keep in check. This left no money for repairs on the house, which eventually fell into a sorry condition. One windy night, the rotting wood structures that held their home in the trees finally gave way, sending the entire potion shop and garden side falling to the ground below in an unsalvageable mess.

Mr. Turril was able to find a temporary job, but not nearly enough to pay for the regular treatments they so badly needed. As Wookir's parents were seeing the doctor less and less, their coughing and sickly nature was increasingly more evident to the rest of Laurelin. People would walk on the other side of he street, whisper behind their backs, and even so far as not to serve them at restaurants. Elves are not supposed to be sickly or unhealthy, and to be such was apparently seen as a major flaw in quality.

Rather this is simply how Wookir wrongly perceived it, or the actual opinion of the elves, he desired to leave Laurelin in any way he could. Upon hearing of a secluded property available in the distant mountain country, he sold the family home and brought his parents into the mountains to live. Their condition improved dramatically with the fresh mountain air, and soon the family was able to sustain itself and live rather happily on the secluded mountain top.

After living like this for ten years, Wookir's father decided that his boy was not living up to his full potential in such a lonely place, and told him to return to Malinor to seek a better, richer life. Out of respect of his father, Wookir left, but not without anger and bitterness towards his destination. Sent back to the very place that didn't want them, that kicked his family out? Those foul people that shunned any mention of "different" or "needy"?

If you see a short, brown haired elf around age 50, with a look of distain towards the very trees elves are raised in, show him a little love, would you? Wookir Turril could use all the kindness he can get, for who knows? Maybe he can learn to love the beautiful land of the elves once more.

Your characters ambitions: Wookir simply wants to be accepted by society, and to be allowed to decide his own destiny. He has a love for farming, and tending to growing things, but his years in the mountains taught him to hunt and cook: a useful skill for someone who has so little.

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?

*Wookir walks closer with caution, attempting to see the motives of this attack*

*He straightens his back, and goes into a running gait, leaping out from the forest and yelling in a victorious voice:*

Men, I found the criminals over here! Marone, Johnathan, Castor, take them from that side!

*Wookir gestures to imaginary soldiers behind the tree as the bandits look to each other in fear*

Shaston, Xavier, draw your bows!

*Wookir charges forward, drawing a small blade from his belt, as the bandits run away in fear, forgetting all about who they are attacking*

Get them boys!

*The elf victim stares in wonder and fear as Wookir approaches, looking all the more fierce as a mighty warrior*

I am not with them!, the elf screeches.

*Wookir relaxes his shoulders, slumping back to his normal posture and sheathing his knife*

There are no other men, just me.

*Wookir runs his hand though his hair and sighs*

Kind of a let down, I know.

*He slowly starts to walk in the other direction, muttering*

That has never worked before… why couldn't I have saved an orc, or someone worth while...

Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?

*Wookir puts his hands behind his back and sighs*

I am afraid a great many things I could use help with.. but very few you can assist.

*He leans over the counter, looking about slowly*

I suppose I could take a look, yes, tell me what I can get for under 50 Minas.

Other Information:

Sorry for some sloppy formatting in there, and some maybe less poetic writing than I should create: I'm just a bit tired at the time of this writing. My last character outline was a richer read, but my creative juices are a little dry after that. Also, I am crunched for time with some site development things, so I just wanted to get this over with so I can relax on the server: having some great RP.

Gimmie dat Wookie!

In other words, you have been accepted, please wait while a GM implements you! You did a fantastic job on this application and I think you deserve to join this server.

The only mistake was the powergaming, which was actually right, but it needed a little more:

- Powergaming is forcing roleplay on to someone else not giving them a proper chance in the roleplay.

Always keep that in mind!
