back story

I was born in, and lived in a far off village. My father was a blacksmith, and he taught me how to work metal. As a child I always thought smithing an interesting job. All the way up into my teens I helped my father with his work, as he taught me the tricks of the trade. but during my 17th birthday, a bandit raid began on our village. The lord of our town/land had denied us troops so we fought entirley on our own we put up a fight for 2 weeks many of us perished. we could not hold up for much longer we fled at the cover of night we had lost our town to those fugs. many of us split up from there me and my father went to oren we found,a job in a large smithy we were to work on making wepons we were happy again 1 year later my father became ill i had to quite my job so i could take care of him but after 5 mouths he passed away with the rest of my gold i went traveling one day wile i was traveling i came across a cart selling strange things but something court my eye it was a book i asked how much was it she said 10 minus i payed her and took the book to a inn were i was staying i started to read it i learnt many things such as the neather and magic and a bit of alchomy but one night the book disapired but it left a yearnning for knowledge i would travel the world looking for any thing about magic and recording my finds but not knowing any magic spells my self did't bother me just the thrill of the find would be worth it.

the type of character i am running is a research how is obsessed with magic he does not know how to use magic peroid he knows a bit on alchomy and a bit on metal craft

Your characters ambitions:to study magic and record it

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do! i would try and talk to the bandits if that does not work i would give them some menus to go away and if that does not work run away and find help

Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?"can you tell me of any one who would know more in the afairs of magic"?
