15

Yes.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

When I am not playing League Of Legends or HoN, I can play whenever. I do attend school however.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.:

I play Garry's Mod, a Half Life 2 modification. I have played various servers which are set in the canon of Half Life Two. To me, role-playing is the biggest form of escapism I can think of. To literally immerse yourself into the shoes of another person, develop their story.

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.

Metagaming is the act of taking information you gained from out of character means, (e.g. Teamspeak or other third party sources) and using that information in character (Whether or not it benefits you is beside the point). Powergaming on the other hand is forcing an action upon another player, without any room for development of the action. For example if I just walk up to a guy and chop his ass down with a sword. For starters, Why? And secondly, the dead man in question had no opportunity to roleplay with me, and now he is dead and all of his stuff has just spurted out of the floor. Not fun for anybody.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

Different. I can see just from opening the home page this server is good. Scrolling down the homepage I can see utter dedication and commitment. If people can make such an effort, I will definitely enjoy myself

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

Currently on Minecraft, I have played with many friends on their local servers, and as far as it goes community-wise, one. It was called IncorrectCraft, I only played for a couple of days before I got sick. It got to a point where there was a huge mob of people sitting outside spawn waiting for me to come out only so they could slaughter me.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:

Indeed.

How did you hear about us?:

My friend on ventrilo was talking to someone about the server and I was intrigued, he told me it is hard to get into this server but it is worth it. I took his recommendation and here I am!

Nope :(

In-Character:

Character Name:

John Luther

What is your Race?:

Human

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

John Luther was not meant to be. He was the son of a wanderer who impregnated a farmer's hand. She obviously didn't want a baby at such a young age. When he was born, she snuck the young Luther onto a trade ship that was heading to the mainland to the west. A ranch owner found the baby well hidden in his shipment and raised him as his own. Who knows why, he could have sold him on. Luther would have made a good slave.

In his early years, Luther showed initiative while working on the ranch, he would constantly find new ways to feed the cattle while saving not only money but valuable time. As he grew up, he decided to travel even further and leave his foster parent to seek a better life to the north. One savage boat voyage later and Luther is on the docks of a small village with nothing but a few coins, the clothes on his back and an intelligent young mind to his name.

John Luther has a leather jacket with matching pants, a white undershirt and clean cut hair. He has some rugged stubble and a built, stocky figure. John is a friendly, welcoming young individual and is always kind to fellow adventurers.

Your characters ambitions:

John Luther aims to make a legacy. He wants a name for himself. He always wanted to do something instead of floating about, being an accident and a complete waste of space. Wealth, glory, it doesn't matter. He just wants to be known.

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?

John approaches carefully, yelling, "Hey! What do you think your doing?". He picks up rocks and throws them at the bandits, being careful not to hit the elf, he then draws his rusty sword, nearing closer and engages them from behind in combat. He is scared beyond belief, having this be the first time in combat. Luckily for him, his rock throws were completely off target, and the bandits do not notice his calls from afar due to being too immersed in combat. He runs at one of the bandits, who is fat, bald and wielding a rather large battleaxe, and stabs him in the back, his companion is shocked. The second he turns and leaves himself off guard, is struck down by the elf. The panting elf thanks him for his help, gives him a hefty reward in coins and says "Come back anytime if you need somewhere to stay!" and heads inside. The grinning and relieved Luther continues on in his journey, not forgetting to tell the elf of his soon-to-be famous name.

Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?

"Straight to business, I like that" Luther says as he shakes the hand of the merchant with a warming smile. "I would like some arrows for my new bow I was given earlier on today please". The merchant nods, holds his finger up, then turns around and leaps into a chest full of expensive goods. He pulls out a large leather quiver with large, iron arrows placed inside. John's eyes light up and he pulls out his sack of coins, "How much, sir?". The merchant points to the sign which says '7 coins per 3 arrows'. John counts the amount of arrows in the quiver and blinks a few times, before taking out a large handful of coins and handing them to the merchant. "Much appreciated" he says. The merchant nods, waves then turns around and closes the chest. John slings the quiver on his back and walks off down the market.
