*as you walk up to an elven settlement you see a parchment hanging on a tree*

Now in Asulon there seems to be no place the Dark elves of Aegis can call home. The high elves have a settlement in a ruin, the wood elves large trees, and the newly found Mori live privately, disliking the rest of the elves. But, in all of this where to the Dark elves from Aegis live? Is there a place we call our own or are we forced to live with one of our cousins who have found their own berth, thus making us look lost and dependent upon them? Please answer this question if you can on the blank pages I have included.

*as you stop reading the note which bears No Signature you see a few blank pieces of paper near it and a piece of charcoal to write with*

OOC: In Aegis all elves just lived in one place but in the new world it seems like each group of elves is getting distinct lore except the dark elves from Aegis and I was wondering if some lore was being worked on or if the Dark Elves should just live with wood elves or high elves or something. I hope you all can answer these question.

*striking up camp nearby the ships, Liberatio sees a tattered one of these lying around. Grumbling, he walks over to pick it up, and reads it. Reaching into his robes he removes a quill and some ink. He writes a note and prays to his Gods that it'll reach the target safely. It reads:*

"Mori? What are these Mori? Are they tribals? I suppose if they aren't too hostile to us we could live with them."

*sees the question about the Mori and writes a response*

They are the ones written about in the Books in the Verge. I didn't realize they lived here until one asked me for some wood.

Stumbles on the parchment and thinks to himself.

Just as whoever wrote this I have experinced the same regetion from people whom I used live with. If I could just meet whoever wrote this we could do something for our kin. If we don't do something soon we will be a forgotten people.

Dezar writes on the parchment "I'm in"

OOC: I agree with you. An Aegian dark elf settlement would be great. It would better give us a since of identity since every other elf race has become unique. It will be up to us to do something for the Aegian dark elfs not the GMs

*takes out a piece of paper and charcoal and begins to write*

To the Dark Elf Community and all other Citizens of Malinor,

I would personally like to apologize about these negative feelings you have. It is true, we have been focusing mainly on homes in the canopy of our new Capitol, Eldanari, but that is because they are the easiest to build. However because something is easy, does not always make it right, as is apparent in this situation. I am sorry you feel, "forced to live with one of our cousins." I am sure no one wishes you to be forced to do anything.

Personally, if the Dark Elf community does not feel as welcome as any other elf in Eldanari, it is apparent the High Council is failing to perform it's duties correctly. It seems again I must apologize. To rectify this situation immediately I would love to hear from all of our Dark Elf brethren as to how we could make you feel more welcome. I don't see why we couldn't start digging underneath the already current tree houses to make more Dark Elf specific homes.

In regards to the part about the High Elves, yes they are forming their own community. The Council has yet to meet to decide how we will respond to this situation, but let me make one thing perfectly clear. While the High Elves are refuse to allow non-High Elves into their city, Malinor has, and always will remain a country for all types of elves. This means that no elf should feel left out and we will continue to strive to do our best to reach this goal.

Finally, in response to the topic of the Mori. It seems they are long lost cousins of ours. It is true they bear many similarities to us and even share some of our customs. Likewise, the vast majority of them seem friendly. However, they do speak a different language. Prince Alan and myself have carried out extensive conversations with them and have managed to learn quite a bit of their language. As soon as we gather a few more essential words we will begin to teach the language to all Elves of Malinor.

So please, if anyone feels like Malinor could do better to be more accepting of any elves in general please write your down your suggestions. I will be back regularly to pick them up and respond to them. All suggestions are welcome.

Hope you are faring well,

-Prince Lafthi

*writes a response to Lafthi*

I bear no ill feelings Prince. I merely wanted to know where we were meant to fit in. From what you have said you make it seem less like wood elves taking trees and high elves taking their own community and leaving dark elves out but it seems more of all elves were welcome to the trees and the high elves left to form their own community. I thank you for writing this as it makes me feel more at ease living in the tree home I bought.

*tacks up his response*

*writes on a paper below Rathreils's*

I have been living with dwarves and humans, but if you were to create a dark-elf specific community underneath your own I would immediately move there. I think many other Aegian dark elfs would do the same. I hope the council takes this into consideration.

*Seeing Lafthi's note, Liberatio feels rage bubbling in his stomach. Quickly scrawling a note underneath, it reads: *

"Ah, Lafthi. Speaking of the council, why are we the only race with no representatives? Surely this is favouritism, all others are welcome. Even halflings.

So why not us?"

*Is walking down the "path" in the elven slums when he sees the very full notice board*

The council seems to have simply made an oversight in this case. With the sudden influx of elves needing homes, the easier to make housing would be more useful.

A note is attached underneath Liberatio's inquiry about dark elves.

Sythra was a Dark Elf. In her ... sudden absence, I have assumed the crown of Prince in her place.

*seeing the note making him more angry, he shreds into some halfling. Satisfied that the anger is gone, he pins yet another note*

"Brother, Ashur. While this may be so, look at the representation so far. It is still one out of many.

How much longer will we go under representated? I would prefer to try my lot with these 'Mori', it seems we may share some ideals.

Until we next meet, Ashur"

*Liberatio stands, lurking near the board waiting for Ashur, his old assassin's instincts allowing him to remain hidden. *

A simple question was all I asked, just a simple question.

*Zane walks by noticing the board in the corner of his eye and reads through notes carefully.

Brothers, there is no need for anger in your words. Surely an agreement can be created from a temporary representative from the Dark Elves and the Prince can speak. Though who would be that elf is unkown to me.

I believe we could utilise the ruins in our areas. There is a large one, in between the Elven camp and our capital, that could be turned into our very own city.

((I'll write a town charter and show it to Haelphon if people are interested))
