Minecraft Account Name: pfung

Did you attend minecon and sign up at the LOTC booth? No

How old are you?: 27

Time-Zone/Country of Residence: Canada

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?

That depends on the region of reference. Mainly because different implicit and explicit rules that are true to some regions and not true to others. For example, this question itself could be incorrect as "grip on" would implies a solid tangible object as oppose to "grasp of".

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:

Eh, I like analyzing stuff just for the heck of it, so I sometime tend to miss the tree for the forest, or was that the other way around? o.O

How much time could you be on the server weekly?

Anywhere from 0 to 48hr+, really depends on irl circumstances and how addicted I would be on here.

What do you know about Roleplaying?

Basically, an actor. To take on a role/character of a given situation/setting/circumstance.

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.

Megagaming is pretty much using "outside" knowledge and applying "inside" a given situation.

In TCG, that would be using a particular "type" of deck that would have a good ratio vs the current decks the other opponents are running. In RP, it's having your character "knowing" something that it shouldn't know (unless it's a Global Omnipresence Device) or something.

Powergaming I'm a little iffy on since the term might have changed (now I feel old >.>). In term of plain gaming, it could mean brute forcing a game (ie. exploiting a design flaw) to gain an advantage. In RP, it was forcing actions on other entities without their input (ie, "I threw a perfect nutcracker at the treant's nuts" as opposed to "I threw 1d20 at the treant".

What do you expect this server will be like?

No big expectation aside from enjoying the company and the story really.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?

Super-Earth - left due to their donor-based economy and other "issues" (catching one of their GM "pranking" another server is one)

Buxville - got a little too good (and a little obsessed) with the number game with their iconomy. IRL stuff and bandwidth became issues as well.

SomeNoNameServer - Was on it to help someone test their stuff. Having a time limit to destroy each other's town was wicked fun (although it got boring fast and was useless after the tests)

SomeOtherNoNameServer - Was on it cause I was asked to, was mainly freebuild.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?

I believe so

How did you hear about us?

Mid-last year, but didn't like the server at the time. I'm being asked to join this server to play with the people from SomeOtherNoNameServer.

Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?

Yep, but I don't remember how to check the number :s I think it's 2933 (last number shown)

What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?:

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Age: 86

Appearance: Scrawny (by dwarven standards), he can sometime be mistaken for an human midget. His face is often ashened, with the exception of his eyebrows for some odd reason, resulting from his experiments with fletching or the many mechanical intrigues he stumbled upon. As a result, no one know what his true complexion is actually like. Unusual among his kin, he feel apathetic of the Great Hole (aka the sky) as opposed to the FEAR many of his kind suffers nor the ADMIRATION/OBSESSION that the few eccentric dwarves have known to exhibit.

Family Background: In his home of Nir Unol, it's rumoured that his great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather was an earth elemental as many of his lineage exhibit an unusual ability, many a dwarf would argue disability, to enter into their own world when they ponder a deep philosophical question about one thing or another (or just what kind of beverage the thinker should try next, no outsiders really knew since no one dared ask). As legend has it, his grandpappy accidentally won a staring contest against a newly built centurion while trying to figure out if he should wear zippers or laces for his chausses for entering the very same contest. To this day, some holds the believe that the naked statue in front of the Forge where the contest took place many Stalactites ago is actually his grandpa still pondering his choice of wardrobe.

Career Background: Often teasingly called Elfboy by his peers since an early age due to his statue, it surprised no one when he eventually took up the bow instead of the standard crossbow when he enlisted as a marksdwarf to guard an expedition into the fabled and doomed fortress of Boatmurdered. As with all expedition to the fortress, they ended abruptly when all of them suffered from visions of mandrills, snakemen, elephants, goblins and/or elephant riding goblins attacking them. To this day, Feb would empty his quiver of arrows into any elephants and goblins he sees. He view Orcs with suspicion as goblins and Orcs are often seen together in the same company.

Quirks:

Industrious and Economical as long as he have his quint-a-day alcohol. He would rather drink Sewer Brew than drink water anytime of day, he would forgo his meals if he has to choose between it and his precious drink.

Your characters ambitions:

To build a ballista or another projectile mechanism capable of killing multiple elephants at once. Upon landing on the eastern part of this world and encountering no elephants thus far, he plans to reconstruct a fortress capable of defending against elephant-riding-goblins and/or goblins-riding-elephants. In the meantime, he will work as a butcher/hunter/trapper to test out his plans.

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?

1) Is he properly liquored up? Y/N

Y: Go to 2)

N: Go to 6)

2) Are the bandits Orcs? Y/N

Y: Go to 3)

N: Go to 6)

3) Did a flashback of the visions occured? Y/N

Y: Go to 4)

N: Go to 5)

4) Shoots the Orcs until he's out of arrow before rushing in for the melee. May or may not shout in gibberish concerning elephants and goblins during the charge.

5) Shoots the Orcs out of sight before trying to kill them.

6) Goes off to find a safe spot for a drink, or just a spot to get a drink, or just drink while walking, or look for a drink in the cottage if he doesn't have a drink on him.

Your character walks up to a shop in the middle of Al'Khazar. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?

Checks the shop for drinks, if there's none, he walks out unassumingly. If there is, "how much for that?" *points at drink(s)*
