I have a good grip on the English language and grammar as this is my primary language.  I receive A marks in English at school and I hope this reflects in my application.

 

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:

I enjoy sports, (such as skateboarding, sailing and football) trying new things and meeting new people. I especially enjoy gaming. I am at a school in a small town in England and I am studying a variety of subjects and I take a special interest in history.

 

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

Around 8-12 hours per week

 

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you.:

Roleplaying is pretending to be somebody else, and attempting as best as you can to become them, as if it were real.

 

In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.

 

Metagaming is saying something whilst in character that your character wouldn’t really know.

Powergaming is using power or force without giving the other player(s) a fair chance. For example running up to somebody and killing/hitting them without the chance to fight back.

 

What do you expect this server will be like?:

I expect this server to be fun and interesting, a new take on minecraft.

 

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

I have played on the TroBeano server, and I left because it is a free play server and I wanted to go onto a Roleplaying server as I enjoy them.

My character is an elf that is 336 years old and he is light skinned with dark brown hair and wears a green camouflage suit.

What is your Race?:

High elf.

                                                                   

Biography (This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Arcturus was a middle class elf, from a semi-wealthy background of hunters, the Bolthors. They kept their heads ducked for many years, throughout wars where they saw friends and distant family die, whilst they carried on hunting. It was the family job to hunt as once was commissioned by the leader of the village, Ignatius. But now Ignatius had changed his mind. With his brother Tôrdae, Arcturus went to a renowned war academy in the area, as Ignatius thought they had potential. At the academy they were taught archery, swordsmanship, reading and writing.

 

Tôrdae and Arcturus were opposites, and Tôrdae was the ‘better, braver’ one of the two, but not by far the clever one.

 

It was 156 years ago when Arcturus was 180 (He is now 336), and the Great War (between the elven kingdom and the undead) was upon them. No longer could the Bolthor family keep their heads ducked. Tôrdae and Arcturus had their chance. To prove their family were worthy fighters. Tôrdae joined and bayed for blood immediately. He quickly climbed the war ladder, a valiant fighter. Arcturus respected him, as did everyone else. Tôrdae was offered general but denied, to fight as a soldier side by side with Arcturus. They went on to fight alongside each other as the years passed on. And then, the final march came. The two brothers pushed on under Ignatius’ orders, before the rest of the Elven army.

Tôrdae wanted glory, and to be known and feared everywhere. They all pushed and were shot down, outnumbered 8 to 1. Fortunately Arcturus only took a wounding to the shoulder early on in the battle and had to flee unable to fight, but Tôrdae, Arcturus has never stopped searching.

 

Your characters ambitions:

To meet new friends, have new adventures and to live the life to the full.

 

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?

 

After Arcturus hears the fellow elf screaming “Help!” for dear life, he rushes to their assistance and confronts the bandits. "Let him go" Arcturus shouts at the bandits. "Or what?" The bandit replies. "Else" Arcturus shouts. The bandits laugh, Arcturus laughs with them and looks down. They look at him baffled. Arcturus looks up, face straight. He withdraws his weapon choice, a sword. The first bandit sprints toward him and he blocks the bandits sword attack and counter-acts it, leaving him injured,  unable to fight, so the bandit flees. Then the second bandit fires an arrow at Arcturus which he dodges swiftfully. Arcturus sprints behind a tree, sheathes his sword and withdraws his bow too. The bandit sprints behind a tree as Arcturus fires, therefore hitting the tree. Arcturus puts away his bow and withdraws his sword. He hears rustling from the trees above and looks up. The bandit smiles and fires an arrow at Arcturus, he stumbles back and the bandit drops down. The bandit swaps to his sword and Arcturus looks up, he smiles. The bandit is puzzled. Arcturus points to the floor behind the bandit, and the bandit turns and looks at the floor to see an arrow.  When the bandit turns back around Arcturus wounds him, but the bandit fights on. Arcturus again lunges at the bandit but the bandit blocks and punches Arcturus in the stomach winding him. Arcturus falls to the floor and the bandit looks over him and punches him again. The bandit laughs, "Else?" and goes to punch him once more. Arcturus blocks and hits the bandit with the sword and the bandit, wounded drops to the floor. Arcturus peers over him, "Else". Arcturus slices the elf free from the ropes that bound him. "Behind you!" shouts the elf, Arcturus swings his sword and kills the bandit. "Thanks" says Arcturus" "Likewise" said the elf. Arcturus takes him to the nearest village to get help, and he leaves as soon as he knows the elf is safe, without a heros farewell.

 

Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?

“Hello sir, please may I have some of your finest ...” He then makes sure he has an adequate amount of minas to buy the product(s) “Thank you, I am grateful for your assistance and the quality of the produce. I shall come here hereafter whenever I need … again.”  With a pleasant smile upon his face.

Other Comments:

Although well written, I see some aspects that do not pertain to the world of Asulon or Aegis. In your biography, there was a wee bit of powergaming, making your character and his brother, a 'general' in the army.

Firstly, I do not believe there was an official army that went to fight the Undead.

Secondly, if there were, I doubt him or his brother would be a general. Remember, you come to Aegis/Asulon undeveloped. Your character will not be known in game, so it is a key point to stay low in your biography.

Lastly, the last sentence of the biography was a bit... incomprehensible.
