In your own Words, describe what Metagaming and Powergaming are.

Meta-Gaming is using knowledge that wouldn't be known by your particular character; at least in the given circumstances of the game. Or rather, using OOC knowledge in an IC situation.

Power gaming is using powers/abilities to enhance your character, in situations where both parties ought to be equal. Such as giving your character super strength, or pinning a person down without them having the chance to react.

Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Klaus grew up in a village in the woods, and was raised by his Godfather. His parents had left him there, in hopes of giving him the opportunity for a better life than the ones they had lived as thieves and bandits. His Godfather was an old human, who spent a good amount of time playing with ideas and gizmos; it is where Klaus' passion for tinkering and inventing arose. When Klaus was ten years old he discovered the lute, one was given to him by his neighbors who had been former traveling performers; they had settled down as bakers, and didn't much have a need for their large collection of instruments, costumes, and accessories.

Klaus quickly found he had a passion for the strings. In his eyes the tunes that reverberated from the instrument not only played a heavenly tune for the ears, but also danced upon one's heart-strings, fluttering down their length, giving one that warm fuzzy feeling, of fulfillment. In his eyes music was emotions one could hear. He spent years playing the lute on a daily basis, perfecting his art. He also continued to toy with gizmos along side his Godfather, and upon the man's death, when Klaus was nineteen, the halfling set out, after burying the man he considered to be his father; he made a decision. He wanted to find a hero, and chronicle his or her quest; and to write a ballad in their honor. He wanted to make his a name for himself as a musician, and a story teller.

Your characters ambitions:

To find a hero, and to mark his place in history with a large-scale ballad. He is also a treasure hunter; so his lust for gems and shiny things borders against his Love for the musical arts.

Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do?

Klaus is timid, so he'd dart behind the nearest tree, and places a hand over his chest; begging to Ariel that the armed warriors could not hear the heart hammering in his body. He'd chance a peak out, taking note of the figures appearances, he would then run for help, he couldn't just simply abandon his halfling brother.

Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer?

“I am not looking to buy any wares per say, but I would would be willing to part with a few coins for some information...” Klaus says with a twinkle in his eye. Klaus would ask the man about any local rumors and tales; for he loves the legends and would want to explore any of these, no matter how far-fetched. As he sees it, there is a story to made underneath every stone, and behind every person. `
