Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:I am 13 year old male living in the United Kingdom. I attend year 8 in a good school which has recently become an academy. In my spare time I enjoy either playing RP games or reading fiction books.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:In year 8 I don't get very much homework for this reason I could spend about 1-2 hours on a average week day but on a weekend I could manage around 4-5 hours at the most. So a guess for the amount of time that I could spend on this server weekly would be about 9-10 hours maybe more.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Role playing is where you create a fictional character and become one with that character, making decisions that varies depending on what your characters personality is like. Role playing is only limited by the amount of imagination a person has for example a person with low imagination would create a bad fictional character. Role playing is a very good way of escaping real life and entering a world of pure imagination.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:I have: Lord Of The Rings The Third Age, Fable and KotOR.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:Meta gaming is where you act upon knowledge which you RP character wouldn't know an example wold be to look through chat rooms to find the co-ordinates of a chest full of diamond.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is:Power gaming is where you try to level up your character by killing for no reason or steeling and greefing as much as possible without enjoying the actual story.

What do you expect this server will be like?:I expect that this server will be a great for role playing and just generally be a fun place for imagination to run wild.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:I have played on some different types of servers such as GoldenPVP and The Killiond Detention Center but I have also played on my Friend's private server. however, I left all these servers because of greefing, looting and mainly being killed constantly by server ops.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:Yes. I have read and understood the the rules and agree to follow them throughout my role play experience

What Race are you?:I am an Elf.

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race):I am a wood elf who dwells in the forests of Malinor.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):My name is Elladan son of Elrond, I have a brother named Elrohir. I am 122 years of age and I am often seen traveling with my brother. I had a fairly average childhood, always loving a good adventure. my brother Elrohir and I are very close; never leaving on an adventure without one another. I spent my early days learning to fend for myself and protect what is rightfully ours. We often have been raided by Orc folk who think that everything can be solved through violence, hence why we are so often raided. From what I know, our races don't get along.

In present day, I spend my time looking for places in need of help so that I can offer my support in fending of evil, which is usually a horde of Orcs. They really are a nucence! We often get tangled up in things that we don't mean to but I always remember what my brother says in times of trouble:"Uuma ma' ten' rashwe, ta tuluva a' lle" Which means in the common tongue

"Don't look for trouble, it will come to you".

What is your Character's ambitions?:

I would only like to see it that peace would open up to all of Aegis and that all the evil would be vanquished(Orcs).

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):The simple bow and arrow have always been my favorite tool and always will be. It is a light, fast, agile and powerful weapon perfect for the adventurous types such as myself.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?I believe that my most skilled talents lye within my bow, but also I must say that I have an eye for my cooking and preparing potions for me and my brother. He likes to think that he is the master chef but in reality I surpass his level.

Other Information about your Character:Just to let you guys know, I have agreed with MatthewTW93 that our characters are brothers to improve our RP experiance.

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?I would walk over to them and in the first case try to reason with them and tell them to leave the halfling alone. I would say "Look he hasn't done anything to offend you and if he has you still shouldn't steal from him". If the warriors return to harass him, I will result in using force to make them leave him alone.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? I would kindly ask for a map of the local area and say "at what price for this merchandise?"

He would open the map and reply with a hideous price and I would reject his immoral offer and give him a second chance by asking if he has heard any news of the town that my brother and I have arrived at. Then he would say

"And at what price?" And I would say

"I am sorry but there are many a merchant who sell at cheaper prices all over Aegis" And I would walk away.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:I would wait a while and see if there is an owner yet to return. If one does not return, I would take a a couple of iron bars in order to fine my bow and leave the golden sword for I have no need of it. I would also check that my brother Elrohir is not watching for he would not want me to take them.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?I would respond with a simple "hail" and then kindly ask for directions and if it be of the hours of night, ask permission for some hospitality and in return hand over some Minas. When dawn arrives, I would thank them for their kindness then I would leave on m next quest.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:I would accept and set out to capture the bandits, I say capture because as i said earlier I do not like killing when when I do not have to. So later at night I would sneak round to the back of their camp and shoot their tents with flaming arrows accompanied be my brother Elrohir and some elven worriers who would then throw in smoking leaves to draw them out of their camp and run in to the city where the the town guard would be positioned to capture the bandits. As for the reward, I would accept it for it might help me in my travels.

'ello there.

I regret to have to inform you that your application has been denied. This doesn't mean you can't ever get on the server again though, it simply means it's not good enough to be accepted just now. There's various reasons why I can't accept it, all of which I'll try my hardest to detail below. If you are still unsure on anything, then throw a PM at me - I'll be happy to help.

Your application, is actually pretty good. Don't take it badly that I ain't accepting you on your first attempt, most people take two or three attempts to be accepted - being denied once isn't a bad thing, it'll just help you improve.

Firstly, you say that powergaming is when you steal, grief and kill for no reasons, without caring for the actual story. That's not really the definition that we, as a roleplay server expect. That's more of a definition for games such as Oblivion, Skyrim and Fable - which aren't really roleplay games, as you don't actually roleplay in them. Powergaming in a roleplay context, is pretty different. Now, I'm not going to actually give you the answer, however I'm going to throw a small hint at you - Google it. Google is by far, one of the most useful things that you'll ever find. Just search, "powergaming in a roleplay context" and wullah! You have your answer. Just ensure that you make it in your own words for when you re-apply, otherwise you will be denied for copying and pasting it.

Secondly - the language you used in the in-character section, doesn't exist in-game. The elven language, is common - except for those who have studied the art of ancient elvish, which I'm pretty sure what you've typed isn't.

Your biography also only tells me of your past, I need to know more than that. What does Elladan look like? What does he talk like? What does he act like? What's his personality like? These are all questions, that you should answer in your biography - as your character is one of the main points that we're accepting your character on!

Potions aren't available in-game for the moment being. This may restrict your characters talents, and anyone who is found with potions, is unfortunately banned, as they are currently restricted.

Your character does seem to be rather interesting. I do like the fact that you are making him racist towards orcs - as racial tension is one of the things, I personally long for to be massive on the server - nothing better than a good old hatred between elves and orcs, is there? ;)

Your skin is definitely suitable for the server. Make sure you describe that skin in your biography as well though, just for that extra bit of information.

Finally, the open response questions. They are un-detailed, but they are okay. However, I do suggest, for the next time you re-apply you add more depthness to them - as currently, they don't provide the information, I personally look for when someone answers them.

If you fix all that I've said up, then you will most likely be accepted when you re-apply. Fix up the problems, and then make a new thread with your updated application - good luck! Just remember, you need to wait twenty-four hours from this post, before you can repost your application - so you are able to repost at... *calculates times* 7PM GMT on the 03/03/2012.
