Two Deaths This Day

On this day, the 21st of the Second Seed, year 19,

Two men died.

The first, was man by the Name Screoy. Poor Screoy was kidnapped by a man, and butchered alive. He was doing well when the Peacekeepers and a few others saved him, but died later on his death bed, in the Military Ward.

The Second, went by the name of Dareth. He was the butcher of this man. The murderer, the killer. Dareth was put on the chopping block in the Military Ward. Just minutes after Screoy died, something peculiar happened. As a Peacekeeper, LaTerre, raised his sword, lightning struck. LaTerre was burnt, sent flying back. On target, Dareth was instantly killed. It was an event no one was ready for. As the execution ceremony began, crows gathered on the walls. I fear there might be a curse on Solace. Just might be.

Why is it that the innocent seem to die, that the murderers never take true punishment to amend for their sins? It is as if a figure just like my encounter of the undead in Aegis was trying to make this heartless, cruel and gutless murderer go the easy path!

*Writes a note in his book*

-This event is foreshadowing a event of far greater evil; I must train my sword arm and adventure to find the very fruit of this hate but though I may not succeed; I hope someone with a much more greater resolve can do this...-

Aye, I agree about what you have said about death being a easy path instead of true punishment like torturing, hard work with no funds and most of all, the hate you will be exposed to.

Just killing them is not reasonable, it also shows we are just like him and made someone-something do it for us...

Coming by in shadowy robes, lined with red in various spots, his face hidden in his dark hood, the only thing seen in the hood being his red eye, visible in the darkness of it, his long white hair tucked under the robes of shadow. He speaks, smiling darkly under the hood, "A curse, a curse indeed, death shall slowly take those of Solace who are not proper of the nation. Those who are civilians who truly want peace, but know that their rulers are not peaceful and need to be dealt with will be spared. Civilians who do not believe, as long as they don't interfere, will be spared. Your leaders will all slowly die as the curse takes it's hold..." He thinks of walking away but then decides he should add some more affect to his act, he lets out a dark, maniacal laugh, then turns and walks away, in the case any pursue, he simply sprints for the trees to slip in-between them, their armored bodies not able to follow.
