I am a College student studying mechanical engineering. In my spare time I enjoy table top RPG's and Magic the Gathering. I also enjoy programming and am currently designing 3D visual assets for a MOBA that I am Co-Developing

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:

Role Playing is the act of living in a fantasy world through the actions of a clearly defined character, and having that characters actions advance him/her toward the characters goal.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:

I have played many different Rp games, ranging from DnD 3.5 to Rouge Trader to Vampire: the Masqurade and Homebrew games using a variety of systems (Including one system that I wrote myself)

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:

Meta-Gaming is acting off of player knowledge that is not character knowledge, and in a more general sense, playing the character as play wills, not the character wills. An example of this would be using someone’s name from the chat without them having introduced themselves in game.

Power-gaming is using abilities unrealistic in role play. Such as escaping from guards after being fully tied up.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

A deep role playing experience in an exiting new medium

I have been on several private servers, and left them due to a cluttering of the landscape and prevalence of griefing

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Jona Deepstone was born into a family of miners and blacksmiths. His father and brothers were miners, his mother and uncles blacksmiths in a village on the outskirts of Al'khazar. From a young age he was instructed in the art of smithing by his mother, (his brothers offten joked that Johna reached for the hammer more than the teat) and soon grew to be a fine smith in his own right. In the Battle against the undead, Johna and his family produced swords by the dozen, but alas, their efforts were fuitile in the end.

After the war that tore Aegis asunder, Johna, along with some halflings from Greenshire borded the ships onward to Asulon. As he wandered through the human nations he found Salvus to flat for his pickaxe, he found he warring nation of Rentaus to ... interesting ... for his tastes, and he found Hanseti to fridged for a day spent in the deeps. These experiences drove him west, but the wilds were to lawless for Johna to safely ply his trade. So Johna settled in a town in the far west of Renatus, Westport.

Looking to his future, Johna hopes to be a asset to his new home, both as a blacksmith and as a miner. He see's the construction of this new town as a chance to leave his mark upon the foundation of this new community. He wants to make this new world as close to paradise as possible for those that are already living in this new land, and for those that have yet to come.

What is your Character's ambitions?:

To live an honest and hard working life in pursuit of the perfect pickaxe, far away from war and petty squabbles. He also would like to get involved in the development of his new home. He hopes to start a business and start a trade caravan to trade with the capital city from Westport.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc):

Pickaxe, as I am a black smith that does not trust others to gather my ore.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?

Blacksmithing and construction are my professions, and my hobbys include reading a good book and sitting by the sea.

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

My character is not carrying any weapons on his person and is not a skilled fighter. Thus he sneaks away from the scene without being noticed. He keeps in mind that is he sees a guard on the road he will be sure to make him aware of the situation.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

Me: Hail good sir! I’m in the market for a good quality iron pickaxe with which to mine, do you happen to have any?

Merchant: Why yes, I’ve just the tool, I’ll even sell it to you for the low price of 800 minas!

Me: 800 minas! Surely you cannot be serious. I will not stand for such highway robbery! *I then proceed to look for a more reasonable merchant with whom to deal*

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

My character is a good honest man and would not like to steal from others in the off chance that this poor shack is abandoned. Furthermore, he has a deep fear of any magics, if there were any curses on these goods, he would hate to be on the receiving end of such protections.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

Hail good sires! I am quite famished and I am looking to see if I could trouble you for some food, for payment of course. *After paying for food* It seems that it is starting to get dark, would it be any trouble if I were to stay with you for the night? *He would then sit around the campfire for some of the night telling of his travels and listening to the others. In the morning he would set out at a little after dawn and thank the kind people for their hospitality. He would also try to remember the location for trading in the future

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

My character is not a warrior, but as a blacksmith, he will use his abilities to make new weapons and repair old ones to help those that will go into battle. He hopes that this will open up his trade routes for ore again. Also, with his donation to the guards he hopes the citizens will look kindly upon him and go to him for all their needed repairs and business.
