What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: I know about roleplaying because I have a character on this server. Roleplaying means to stick in context of what your characters knows and does and feeling his emotions and actions to fuel his actions, not your own.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I have roleplayed on this server before

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Metagaming is when you take out of roleplay ideas and use them to affect your roleplaying (i.e; say someone messages you OOC saying that they are about to get robbed and come help them… this is metagaming because if you were the character and didn’t receive the OOC message, then you would have never known about it.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: Power-gaming is something such as when you are IC and you do something that your character should not be able to do and bend the rules a little bit.

What do you expect this server will be like?: I know that it is a very fun experience, and that I will enjoy it a lot.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I use to play on World of Heroes, but I left because it was boring and they kept changing stuff.

Character Name: My name is Adaron Persella

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

Adaron lives in a small town near the town of Solace. He lived an abrupt and twisted childhood, as his father committed suicide when he was just eight. His father killed himself with poison. Adaron’s mother was crushed by this, and in a note left from Adaron’s Father, saying that Adaron’s mother had pushed him so far over the edge that it was simpler to just kill himself then have to deal with her. Adaron then witnessed her mother get rope, and hang herself. All of this happening to him when he was just a little child of eight years old. His mother’s uncle took him under his wing, and Adaron’s best years were spent in a small mine far from civilization.

Adaron’s uncle’s name was Russel. He was a fine man, admirable to all, but did not have a wife. Adaron grew to be a teenager, at the age of fifteen years old. All this time Russel had been looking for a wife. One day, Russel was in need of food, because a famine had hit and he could not provide for Adaron and himself. Adaron went to a town about an hours walk down the road, and went into the nearest bakery. He was about to ask the man for ten loaves of bread when a lady walked in. Adaron noticed that the lady was very beautiful, and that Russel was looking for a wife. He asked the lady if she lived in the town, and she told him she lived just outside the town. Adaron then obtained his loaves of bread and walked out of the door, whistling to himself thinking if this was the woman for Russel.

Adaron went to Russel and told him the story. Russel was a little pessimistic at first, as it is strange to do such a thing, but eventually decided that no harm could be done from visiting the woman’s house. Adaron went to town with Russel that night, and Adaron sat in the bar drinking while Russel wandered around the town looking for the woman, as it would be strange just to show up at her house. Russel found the woman, and they instantly clicked with one another, and she invited him over to her house for supper. Russel accepted the offer and the two of them went over to the woman’s house.

It had been five hours after Russel had headed out to look for the woman, and Adaron becamed frightened that something had happened to Russel, because Russel would never leave Adaron alone for that long. Adaron would have gone looking for his uncle earlier, but he was still weak from the affects of the alcohol. He stumbled around the town, looking for Russel, but did not find him. He then remembered the woman, as the alcohol had impaired his mind for a while and had corrupted his memory. He went to the house, and pushed the front door open. He wept at what he saw. He saw Russel, lying dead on the floor with blood coming out of his mouth, and he had no markings of how he would have died. Adaron looked around for the corpse of the woman, but there was none. Slowly, it dawned on Adaron that the woman had murdered Russel and run off.

Adaron set off by himself into the world, resenting all that death had thrown upon him, he cursed the gods for being so cruel. Adaron now roams around the world, seeing sights and meeting people. He mines for a living at his father’s old mine, though it is old and many creatures dwell in it. Adaron is now a proud male of twenty-six.

What is your Character's ambitions?:

My character loves to read, mine, and write. He also enjoys everyday conversation, and he wants to become a blacksmith.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): My character’s favorite tool is a pickaxe, because he loves to mine.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? My character battles with axes, and he also is a fairly good miner. He enjoys to dig for hours at a time, he loves to feel the sweat on his brow as he breaks the ground into submission with his tool.

He is a little twisted from so much death at a young age.

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

“Hey! What’s going on over here!”, says Adaron. The warriors turn to face Adaron, and the Halfling manages to scurry away. They notice the Halfling running, but they were too late as they saw her run away. “You made us lose our profit! Now you will be our profit!”, says one of the warriors. Adaron draws his axe, and prepares to fight the warriors. The warriors slowly close in on him, and Adaron backs up slowly. Suddenly, Adaron throws his axe and it buries itself in one of the warrior’s chest. The warrior stumbles and falls to the ground, as blood oozes out of the wound. It is evident that the man is dead, with the axe sticking out of his body. The other warrior is to shocked to move, and Adaron takes advantage of this weakness to lunge forward to grab his weapon. The warrior slices at Adaron, but Adaron dodges the blade. Adaron then waits for the warrior to swing again, and as the warrior sliced again, Adaron parries the blow and sends the sword spiraling to the ground ten feet away. “You can try to get if you like, but it would be the death of you”, says Adaron. The warrior looks in shock at Adaron, and walks away, leaving his sword on the ground. Adaron then resumes his journey away from Cloud Temple to Seventis.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

“I’m doing very well, thank you. How are your sales coming along today?”, says Adaron. “They be comin’ long badly, nota person as ‘a heart!”, says the merchant. “I’m sorry to hear that, but I can’t help you in your predicament, for I am a little short on cash myself!” The merchant then resumes his advertising.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

“Wow”, says Adaron. “They should really keep this in a locked chest…” he says. “Well, they need to learn their lesson, but don’t worry, I won’t take much”, he says to himself. He then takes one iron ingot from the chest, and continues on his way again.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

“Hey! Traveler! Do ya need anything, I’d be willin’ te make a deal with ya!” Adaron can barely speak, and says in a weak voice,”I am hungry n lost it seems. Please help me, n I will pay ya.” The trader smirks, knowing that he can charge whatever he wants for the food, and Adaron must pay it. “How ‘bout… thirty minas a loaf o’ bread eh?” Adaron was a strong-willed man, but he realized that he must pay the mans steep price. “Aye”, he grumbled, “Let me have the loaves please.” The trader then smirks and goes to get some loaves of bread. “How many do ya want?” Adaron replies ,”I’ll take three sir, as I’m ‘fraid that’s all I can spare.” The trader has little sympathy for the traveler, and hands him over the loaves. “Can I buy a map from ya?” ,says Adaron. The trader scrambles around, and finds a map. “Aye, but it’ll cost ya forty minas”, says the trader. Adaron replies,” Ok”, and hands the man his minas. Adaron lies around the camp for a little bit, meeting all the other inhabitants, and was off within the hour.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

“I am worthy of this”, thought Adaron. “I am a good fighter as any.” Adaron then goes to the guard and says that he would like to support the raid. The guard replies, “Aye, we could use ya. But are ya sure ya wanna do this? Ya look a lil’ young te me.” Adaron becomes frustrated with the man, “I am twenty-six! Nearly half way through my life span! And you think that I am too little to serve for your army!” The guard looks at Adaron, and nods in approval. “You’ll do”, he says, “There’s a meetin’ at dawn. Bring yer armor n weapons. We’ll set out from there.”
