Out-Of-Character

Minecraft Account Name: fabmor123

How old are you?: I am 16 years of age

Time-Zone/Country of Residence: United Kingdom GMT

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:I believe to have a very good grasp of the English language since I was born and raised in the United Kingdom.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am a 16 year old aspiring concept artist and a pretty hardcore gamer when I have the time. I very much enjoy spending all of my free time drawing and playing games, specifically games such as Minecraft.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: I would be able to spend around 7-10 hours Monday-Friday and around 10 hours Sat-Sun so if a rough amount should be stated I would say around 20 hours total a week possibly even more.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:Personally I think this is taking on the role of an alternate character which isn’t yourself. It is like immersing yourself in an alternate/fantasy role. Like acting, but without a defined script. It is for me the act of taking on the role of an alternate character, in a different world, where you can define your own actions, to a certain extent, and creating your own personal story and background.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I used to play Runescape when I was younger which gave me a good sense of roleplaying and have been playing many Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games such as World of Warcraft and RIFT up to this date, but now am still in the search for the perfect Roleplaying Minecraft experience, and believe that I might have found it with Lord Of The Craft. This is because as much as I tried to roleplay in these MMORPGS people didn’t really cooperate making the experience rather dull. I do of course play on Single Player Role Playing Games such as Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim and find that extremely fun and have learned many things from those games which I probably could never have grasped from games such as WOW.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:The use of out-of-game information or resources to affect one's in-game decisions. Examples of this could be using knowledge that had been communicated in the real world about in-game events that the player's character does not have knowledge of.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: This specifically in roleplaying is when someone makes their character unbeatable, not allowing the opposition to react and simply attacking them without taking up the specific role and starting roleplay. E.g. ‘My character dodges the bullets and destroys the giant robot with his little finger’.

What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect it to be very much like a classic RPG with a Minecraft twist. Forming groups to go on adventures and/or raids. I have watched the trailer and read a lot of the lore so I think that this might be the perfect server and all round Minecraft-RPG experience.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I used to play on the Reddit server but was constantly killed at spawn and got frustrating and was no roleplay involved. Then i followed onto HC factions, but once again it was not as I expected and no roleplaying involved which I believe to be very much the essence of PvP Minecraft gaming. But also in both of these servers there was starting to be a lot of inactivity which was simply not fun anymore since I was one of the only people online most of the time.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes I have read and accepted, understood and I agree to the rules.

Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: Yes, I promise to abide by these rules and laws including those of the Server, Forum and Teamspeak Rules.

How did you hear about us?: I heard from this server you from a friend whose Minecraft name is Benfclark, and who was one of the first people to join this server.

Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?: I have voted, but I am unsure which vote number I was, I believe to have been either number 2,393 or 2,394.

In-Character:

Character Name: Molotice Arzdan

What Race are you?: Elf

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): Wood Elf

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

As a young child I was always an introvert, an outcast. I have been learning trying to learn various languages from the small animals of the earth up to the high and mighty Orcs. Whilst I am far from anything that could be considered mastery, I keep trying. From a young age I was raised by a poor but wise wood-elf woman in the capital of the Elven cities of Elandriel but now I am currently living in the Majestic human capital of Arethor travelling with my inseparable companion, Ezekiel. my mother always told me stories about how she started raising me when she was only 5 years of age when I was somehow abandoned by my parents, and now is an elderly woman of 75. I was never sure why my parents had left me as they did, since wood-elf children are usually cherished offspring., but alas it happened, and didn’t bother me since I had never really known them. What I did remember was the terrible destruction of Aegis. We had previously lived in one of the small towns in Aegis whose name I have now forgotten. I remember travelling all the way to the Verge, but there was only a single boat left for our family since we didn't have the supplies to craft more, and so they left us children to go, they wanted only our survival. Now I remember why my parents left us. They did not abandon us, but were only saving our dear lives. I remember that day, when the clouds were clearing and we all saw a native land. We did not know what to think but little did we know that that land was the land that we now called Asulon. I went with my bretherin to populate but I was lost from the group, and was found by the kind human woman who i call 'mother'. But I will never forget the night that we had to flee to the Cloud Temple, that that would never fall. The undead hordes attacked and attacked but were unable to penetrate the strong and mysterious magic that was the Cloud Temple. I still have nightmares of these hordes and the thing that they called speech. For us it was incomprehensible screaming which terrified even the strongest warriors up to this date. I will still never forget the man who saved us. The man with the shattered maps, Blundermore.

I had not been able to control how my time went, and it just seemed to fly by. I guess this is because my seconds are not as valuable as they are to humans, for I, or my race last longer, but for humans their time is precious, each second ticking as it is being taken away by the curse of Iblees. I have always been treated as an outcast. I was the only Wood Elf to have lived in my village. Rarely able to take part in most of the activities my ‘mother’ told me stories of what there is in this world. One thing that had always caught my attention was when she talked of the Elven nation of Malinor and the architectural prowess my race had with these beautiful tree-houses.

I found from a young age that my real passion was to use my bow. My bow was the only thing that I couldn’t do without. I would venture deep into the forests at night and train with my bow. It just seemed right to be in the forest. It almost seemed part of me. One night I met an odd looking High-Elf in the forest. She was reluctant to keep her age from me but her name was Trinity. She was beautiful to my eyes, not could I stay one second without gazing into her eyes. She too was an archer and we met every night in the forest, in the same spot for what seemed like a short time. But little did I realise, almost carelessly, that my mother was slowly dying away. I was careless with her. I always focused on my archery and Trinity. Never had I felt an emotion as I did when I heard that my mother passed away. It was impossible to describe and was a disgusting feeling. She was an extremely poor so she had nothing to leave me but that was not anything that I ever cared about, money. All of the money she ever had she used on me, to clothe me as everyone else, so I would never feel left out. She was a wonderful woman and that is why my bow is named after this spectacular woman, Hope. But there was one emotion that overcame the rest. This was only present when I was told that my mother was murdered by rogues. After weeks of staying solitary I decided to return to the forest, to see if Trinity was there. But as I entered the forest I could no longer see the peace and tranquillity  that there used to be, but destruction everywhere, and on a tree there was an arrow, with 6 symbols engraved in my Elven language but they were translated to say ‘HELP”. I knew this was Trinity and I needed to find her. She was in trouble. I knew she would be able to survive no matter the adversity, but I would still need to find her.

On my what seemed now an eternal journey to find Trinity I stumbled upon a fellow adventurer, Ezkiel Targon, a human warrior who also was following a dream. We were both going to the same place and so decided to go together to the ‘Sanctuary Of The Cloud Temple’ to find out more about our dreams, but we both swore to never leave each-others side.

What is your Character's ambitions?: Molotice wants to be in the top rankings of the archers, but is also trying to enhance his knowledge with medicine, to prevent anyone from ever having to go through what he did. He one day hopes to follow on his journey to finally find Trinity.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): Bow and Sword

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Archery

A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format):

Other Information about your Character: He will not rest until he finds Trinity, but has bonded since with a young human Ezekiel Targon who has agreed to go with him, let death part them.

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

Molotice: Hey You, Stop that immediately lest I attack you!

Warrior: Ha! A petty elf thinks he can stop us, how about you give us your money and we don't tell anyone about this encounter? eh?

Molotice: That is enough, leave the small halfling, I shall take the two of you on and get this young halfling back to his family! Do you not see what you are doing? You are ruining an innocent halfling’s life for your pleasure?

*wields bow*

FOR TRINITY!

*shoots and hits armed warrior in the knee*

Molotice: I do not want to harm anyone anymore, how about you leave before things get out of hand and return this poor halfling its goods back?

Warriors:Y-Y-Yess okay, please don’t hurt us we simply needed some money to travel back home.

Molotice: Away with you two scoundrels, you attack a halfling and now you beg me for money!? HOW DARE YOU!

*warriors flee*

Halfling:Wh-Why thank you so much, I was already making my final prayers! Please let me repay you, I haven’t got much but please accept this record, it is all I can give, I hope that is enough!

Molotice: Well if you insist I shall accept but there was no need to repay me, It was simply a gesture which I felt obliged to take!

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

Molotice: Good day sir, may I be able to see your produce? I am in search for some food, you see I have been venturing for a while and this is my first encounter with civilization for a while now!

Merchant: Well of course my boy, take this bread, free of charge!

Molotice: Thank you so much kind sir, but I do not feel right leaving you empty handed as I am, would one of these records suffice as payment, I am not the musical type and am willing to give it away!

Merchant: Well thank you my boy, that is so very kind of you! Please do stay for tea if you must, we have a small bedroom in which you can rest from your travels!

Molotice: Thank you once more for the kind gesture but I am afraid I must decline since I am in a hurry to find a friend.

Merchant: Now don’t you worry, it’s no obligation son, do come again when you please! Good day!

Molotice: Good day!

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

Molotice would of course take these couple of things. No point in leaving them for a bandit to steal, what if they are going to put it to bad use or for the path of evil. He smelts down the sword into two Gold Bars and decides to sell them for money. With this money he buys food for those poorer or for those in need of food who are hungry.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

Molotice: Hello, I am lost and feeling unwell, if someone would be able to give me simply a bucket of water and a small slice of bread it would suffice. I am willing to work for it, anything.

Men: Oh poor Elf, lets us help you, there is a small bed in the tent over there, with the red top. You can rest there ‘till mornin’.

Molotice: Thank you sir, would I be of any help?

Men: Don’t you worry, we have much food, we can spare some for a traveller who is lost, and we have not a map, but can tell you that there is a small village North-East of here that you can visit.

Molotice: Thank you very much!

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

Molotice tries to investigate things about these notorious bandits before hand but is able to find out little. He still goes to the leader of this party and decides to join on their quest. These bandits are said to be tough but that is not of the matter.
