Old Mines.

*Outside of the old Hansetian mine lays a small notice board*

ATTENTION:

DUE TO HAZARDOUS WORKING CONDITIONS THESE MINES HAVE BEEN CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC, FOR THOSE WITH PERMITS, SEEK OUT THE NEW MINES THAT HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED IN TIMBERMAW.

As for the materials in this mine, most have been relocated to a safer location in the Storehouse. If your goods seem to be missing, check there. We also need to deal with the mine itself.

Some ideas I have come up with:

• Close it up for good, after all the chests and materials are removed.
  
• Block it off, but keep a small, protected doorway in the entrance to allow for an emergency bunker.
  
• Keep everything as is, just put a notice outside.
  
• Remove all valuables. Stone bricks, torches, for use in the new mine, block off to prevent demons from escaping.
  
• Keep it open as a private mine, for the further construction and renovation of the city. Just don't sell public permits to it anymore.
  

I encourage others to present their own solutions for these mines, as some people still use them for gathering of resources.

((The dangers do exist, also. Due to the mine creating openings into assorted caverns, Monsters and lava flows have become a problem, the risk/gain meter doesn't seem to good anymore. Not to even mention how ridiculously depleted the entire thing is.))

*Dain walks by the old mine as he admires the grand capital of Hanseti. He grins as he fondly remembers.*

"I spent many a day in that old mine."

*Dain pulls a small piece of parchment from his bag and a piece of chalk. He writes a small note and leaves it on the notcie posted outside the mine.*

"I suggest reopening the public mine in a new location. There is much money to be made in selling permits, and the influx of ores could bring trade to our fair nation."
