DecoLamb 959 Share Posted April 11, 2012 [[Please forgive me, as Im typing this in a straight shot on my phone with three hours of sleep. ]] The jungle swayed quietly in the evening breeze, the sounds of birds slowly dieing down as the music of the night began. Vines brushed loosely on the stone brick path, snakes and frogs resting on the still warm surface as they began to awake to their nocturnal world, raising slowly to the day's lullaby. Most kha had already settled down for the night, leaving most of the citadel empty save for the wild creatures that roamed about. A jungle deer lifted its head, water dripping from its delicate muzzle as it stared into the darkness with wide brown eyes. Its ears flit back and fourth as it listened to the steady ' pit pat' of tiny pink pawpads drawing ever closer. With a sudden snort it turned, leaping away gracefully into the thick jungle, dissapearing from glimmering blue eyes. Miian stood there a moment, watching the jungle brush sway as the deer vanished from view, whickers twitching as she played with the thought of running it down. She shook her head. No, she had to finish working, once she delivered the bag of seed to the farm she could go home and finally rest beside her beloved Tia- "Oi latz!" Called out a gruff voice, gutteral and deep, the strange tone making the stub-tailed kha bristle in surprise. She turned, eyes going wide at the sight of a massive form in glimmering armor made of blue stone. The being lumbered towards her, Miian's snapping flat to her skull in terror as she backed away. "Whud da skah latz be?" rumbled the form, thick tusks jutting out from a wide, green skinned chin. Miian whimpered, starting to turn, toe claws pushing out as she readied to run, but before she could even take a single step, she slammed into a wall of muscled flesh. "Gromgok whud dis?" growled the other being as it loomed over the trembling little kha. A huge beast, unlike anything Miian had ever seen before; taller than even the largest Tigrasi, and almost twice as broad. Thick green skin, covered with knotted scars, twitching over bulging muscle. Four tusks curved up from a wide, heavily underbit jaw, small eyes of deep red glaring over it into terrifed blue. She was surrounded, three had already circled her, and now a fourth, bearing a mask, had lumbered out from the jungle. Miian's legs felt weak, her mind spinning as she looked at one beast then the next in rapid succession. There was no way she could dart between them.. they were too close together.. Maybe she could break away from the smaller one.. he didnt seem very quick in any sense of the word. Miian tried to think, tried to plan, but the bizzare scent of sand and blood, mixed with her own terror, clouded her mind. Finally, she set a paw back, preparing to turn, but it was far to late. The first beast had grabbed her by her mane, thick fingers twisted into the frizzy, krinkled mix as it pulled, dragging Miian with it. She didnt fight, the shock alone made her compliant, she didnt even make a sound when the creature pitched her onto the cushions of the Tla's private boat. All she could do was sit and stare in silent terror as they untied the boat, and slowly row away, the green of the jungle slowly fading away over the horizon. DecoLamb 959 Author Share Posted April 11, 2012 Miian lifted her head groggily at the loud thump of armored footsteps, eyes blurred from sleep. She felt a hand grip her scruff, lift her tiny body up and hefting her over a shoulder, really nothing new for the spotted kha, her brothers and father had often carried her about. Her whiskers twitched, swaying as she was carried along, paws kneading the air as they hung. Suddenly everything was cold, a rush swirled through Miians body as she snapped awake, bubbles raising from her muzzle as she let out a terrified yowl. Her claws hooked into thick flesh, ears pinning to her skull as she thrashed. Then, just as fast as it happened, it ended. Miian gagged, coughing up her stomachful of seawater as she gasped raggedly for air. She turned her head, tensing at the sight of the one carrying her. The beast grunted, drawing a fearful whimper from Miian as she began to tremble once more. What was this thing? Why did it take her? Her head turned, staring across the vast expanse of golden sand, this place... it was so familiar yet so diffrent. What.. what was this? She couldnt understand, and neither did she want to. 'Goddess help me... protect this one in the land of monsters... please.. save me...' =========================== Miian sat there on the massive bed, hugging her knees tightly as she shook. More of them had come, some larger than the one that took her. Some smaller as well. They growled and snarled at each other in an unknown tounge, every now and then a word similar to one she knew was spoken, making Miian's twitch and flick about, trying to capture every one of the strange sounds they made. One in particular caught her attention, a masked beast with eyes that held light somehow. His scent was diffrent even, it wasnt just sand, sweat, and blood, the faint breath of something more, something familiar. It reminded her of the priests, that strange, otherworldly undertone that mixed with them, but this one was no priest... At least none she had ever seen before. Light gleamed off the loudest of the creatures, his armor sparkling as he pointed to Miian, specifically her neck. His fingers curled, flexing as he held the meaty appendage outward. She set a paw to her neck, claws clinking againt the polished beads of lapis hanging from the golden chain. Once again, the armored one flexed his hand, giving a low grunt. For a moment, there was clarity between them, Miian understood. 'He wants to see it.. he doesnt want to hurt me, hes just curious too!' Miian smiled softly, unhooking her necklace and setting in the armored ones massive palm. Suddenly... it wasnt scary anymore. There was nothing to fear, these monsters were monsters, they were just curious. "Can it blah?" grunted one, causing Miian to look towards it. Her ears flicked forward in thought, that word, what did it mean? Why did they keep saying it? Her throat flexed, giving a dry mewl at first before her breath hitched. She swallowed thickly, giving her head a light shake before trying once more. "What's blah?" Fear twisted its way back into Miian as the strange once started to yell, their voices booming in her sensitive ears. They howled in their strange tounge, gesturing wildly at her and each other, the armored one striking at the others in snarls and gutteral roars. Over time it quieted, and the fear left her once more. Slowly, a few words were understood... these things.. they were something called uruks, they lived in prides, called clams by them. Their pride fathers, called warbroths, all were led by a uruk named Wax. Really... there was nothing to fear... ====================================== Miian couldn't have been more wrong. Panic thumped in Miians chest as she ran, eyes wide in terror. The tiny goblin on her back wouldnt stop screaming, yanking at her fur as she tore across the sand. Far behind she could hear the other orcs, just barely able to keep her in sight. There had to be a way to get this weight off her! Between the saddle and the goblin, there was too much weight to speed up all the way and escape. Miian skidded around the corner of a hut, sand flying in the air as her paws slammed down. She couldnt run forever, not with her chest constricted by the saddle strap, there had to be a way to escape.. There! A massive tree stood out above the desert, glorious and green, nearly touching the sky. She turned sharply, the goblin's weight nearly throwing her over as she sprinted full tilt for that beacon of hope. Her claws sunk into the soft mud as she leapt across the water, hooking them into the thick bark. The goblin shrieked as the started to climb upwards, one paw over the other as she hauled them towards the sky. Muzzle curling into a smile, a feeling of safety and comfort took over the tiny cheetrah as the wide green leaves brushed over her. She broke the surface, breathing in the cool thin air of the canopy as she closed her eyes. Here it was safe, nothing could touch her here... She wouldnt even hear the arrow being notched, not the creak of the bowstring as it took aim....
DecoLamb 959 Author Share Posted April 11, 2012 Miian strained at the end of the thick leather lead connected to the metal collar, all paws digging into the hot sand as she paced back and forth. The shining one had shot her down from the tree and bound her with this... thing.. no matter how hard she pulled, how long she chewed, how deep she dug in her claws, it would not break. All she could do was be dragged along by the shining one as he forcefully led her along. It was annoying, degrading, impossible to comprehend, infuriating... Miian followed behind the shining one, now and then glancing behind her at the other who had come; a beast of war torn green flesh and yellowed tusks, cracked and chipped from the beatings of time. He glared back at her with a low snarl, making Miian turn away quickly to stare at the shining ones back. The sand slowly grew cold, breaking into dead grass and dirt, and eventually snow covered needle trees. A fort loomed above them, carved into the side of the mountain, heavy flags waving on the iced breeze. Miian paused a moment to stare, letting the shining one simply drag her along, paws leaving deep grooves in the snow as she looked on. They pulled her down a stone hallway, deep inside the mountain to a small room. The smell of herbs and something other flooded Miian's head, fogging her mind as the two orcs conversed, their gruff voices making her ears twitch as she stared off with dull eyes. A sudden pinch at her scruff shocked Miian back to her senses, mind spinning as she was flung through the air into a stone wall. Her muzzle opened in a pained cry as her body cracked against the hard surface, slamming down onto the packed dirt below. She lifted her head with a whimper, trembling as she pushed herself up to her feet. Truely, this misadventure would be the most painful she had ever had... ========== Miian laughed as she raced through the tunnels, the small orc behind her panting as he tried to keep up with the bouncey young kha. The fort had proved not to be as horrid as it once seemed, packed with all kinds of wonderous things for every sense to explore. She flopped over on the massive cushion in the warehouse, giggling as Quiet One plopped down beside her panting. Really, it wasnt that bad, the uuwarks gave her sweet things and made her head feel amazing, and it was incredibly fun to chase them. Some of them were good sitting spots and climbing things too, their thick skin easy to drive her claws into so she could climb up and sit on their shoulders to see even more things. Granted some prefered to chase her, but she was only too kind to allow it, after all she was a very considerate kha, letting these things pet her head and offer her treats. Miian's favorite had to be Quiet One, he was smaller, and never spoke, but he gave the best head scratch and the best chase target. Miian shifted, setting her paws on Quiet One's stomach and kneading her claws into him. She gave a small grumble of discontent as he pushed her away, laying back and folding his hands behind his head. Miian grumbled back, flopping herself over him with a yawn, she would nap wherever the saw fit, and that was that. =============================== Miian woke with a start, giving a yowl as Quiet One was ripped out from under her, loud roars echoing in her ears. Shining One had come, displeased with something as usual. Miian simply rolled her eyes as she sat there, waiting for his yelling to stop before he stomped off like always. A loud crack rang out, followed by a heavy thump. Miian looked over, eyes growing wide in horror as she saw Quiet One limp on the floor, his head split with a deep gash. She looked up, a streak of blue filling her vision as pain exploded in her mind. She slung her head to the side with a garbled yowl of agony, blood bursting up from her smashed muzzle as she set her paws to it in shock. All she could smell and taste was the coppery sensation of her own red blood, panting raggedly as she looked back to the Shining One in fear. She lunged forward, dodging under Shining One's leg as he kicked out again, rushing down the hallway as the orcs yelled after her. She leapt through the small hole in the metal bars, wincing as her hips were squeezed by the tight space. Curling into the corner she broke into a sob, trembling paws holding her broken jaw as she wept. What could she even do now? As long as Shining One is here, she would be broken and in pain... there had to be a way... There just had to be an escape.. [Chapter End.]

DecoLamb 959 Author Share Posted April 11, 2012 [[Yeeeeep this happened last night around like.. 1am, brevius, vekaro, goldrim, and one other came to steal the boat, asked me to log in for some rp, and it evolved into this. Shes been gone several days now, so you can kinda clue your kha in in a few ways; Miian, daughter of Ji'raskar and metz'al to Tiazar, who never strays from home, is gone. The last scent that can be found if her is overwhelmed by a bizzare smell, and thick with fear, the underbrush around the docks has been stomped up and broken, theres marks from a huge axe where the Tla's boat once was, bigger than even Tigrasi can carry. Just wait for Tiazar to pass the docks, or Zakar... or her brothers or father.. tables will be flipped yo. But yeah, your khas can assume that SOMETHING bad has happened. LET THE PANIC ENSUE ]]

Wretched 2075 Share Posted April 11, 2012 Tiazar Began to notice the disappearence of Miian, at first he did not worry, Tiazar knew Miian was able to fight for herself. As the days went on, Tiazar became uneasy, it was unlike Miian to be gone this long.... Tiazar and a few others began to search the island, they ended up at the docks. To their supprise a boat was missing, with a very strong smell of a new creature Tiazar had not discovered. And there it was, the faint smell of Miian. It was clear something happened here, something had taken Miian away.... Tiazar's well known anger began to rise, He would make sure that when he found the people responsible, they would suffer.... Not one of them will be left alive. Tiazar is currently searching more of the island for clues, and rallying up others to join him in his search. Soon he plans to speak to the Tlatlanni and have plans put in place to find his Miian.
